Start your morning bright and early with a trek up the Grouse Grind in North Vancouver. It's a helluva hike up, but watching the sunrise over the ocean is beautiful... and you won't need to worry about calories for the rest of the day. ;)

Head to the Sea Bus after the grind, and cross the water to Vancouver's Gastown neighborhood. Walk to Chill Winston for brunch, and sit on their patio that looks onto an open intersection, perfectly-situated to people watching in this eclectic neighborhood.

Stroll around to all the cool boutiques. I like the cobblestone streets! Vancouver's famous Chinatown neighborhood is only a few blocks away.

Head to English Bay for a stroll along the sea wall. Take in the gorgeous city skyline, North Shore mountains, and Vancouver Island in the distance across the water. Or just lay out on the beach!

The food here is amazing! Romantic, if you're looking for that setting, but also great to go to with a few buddies for a night on the town. Try the Tajine with Braised Lamb Shank and a Barossa Valley Shiraz, or the classic Moules Frites.
