Royal Botanical Gardens - This is the first attraction you will encounter once your dedicated driver/guide picks you up from the designated location. Peradeniya Botanic Gardens is situated in the city of Peradeniya. After obtaining tickets from the counter, you can explore this beautiful garden. During your visit, you will see the flower arch garden, which features a variety of flowering plants. Along the way, you can visit the Herbal Garden to experience local herbal plants. There are numerous green botanical trees that provide a habitat for bats and birds. Additionally, you can admire the Orchid flowers and plants, and the side of the Mahaweli River shaded by bamboo trees.
While strolling through the garden, if you need a break, you can relax on a bench facing the river and capture images for your personal memories. Upon exiting the garden, you have the option to purchase flower plants and herbal products. -
Kandy War Cemetery - After leaving the garden, this is the second site to visit, located between Kandy and Peradeniya. You can visit this site without purchasing a ticket and observe the Soldier Cemetery, which was established to honor the soldiers who died during World War I.

Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue - After departing from the Cemetery, the tour continues to the next destination. The Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha statue stands 88 feet tall and is located on Bahiravokanda Mountain, about 20 minutes from the War Cemetery. We will travel partway by Tuk Tuk and then climb a few stairs to the temple. After obtaining tickets from the counter, you can enter the temple. Upon entering, you will witness the bodhi tree surrounded by the mountain, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere.

Kandy Market Hall - After leaving the temple, the journey continues to Kandy’s downtown area to visit the public municipal market. This market is where the local community purchases vegetables, fruits, and other essentials.
Here, you can learn about local vegetables, fruits, spices, condiments, and herbal products, as well as how they are stored, sold, and the buying habits of the locals.
You can take photos for personal keepsakes and purchase items if needed. -
Kandy View Point - After departing from Kandy Market Hall, a Tuk-Tuk ride up the hill will take you to the Kandy viewpoint. Upon arrival, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the city, including Kandy Lake, the Temple of the Tooth Relic, various buildings with route maps, and the Kandy plateau surrounded by mountains.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Kandy’s main attraction is the Temple of the Tooth Relic, a renowned site for worshiping the Buddha Tooth Relic and receiving blessings. This was the former palace of Kandy’s last monarch, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe.
After obtaining tickets from the counter, you can enter the palace and explore it. You can learn about the history of the palace and the story of the Tooth Relic.
The shrine room opens three times a day, allowing visitors to see the casket and receive blessings. Meanwhile, a blessing ceremony begins, featuring drumming, singing, and dancing.
You can participate and capture images for personal keepsakes. Additionally, you can enhance your experience by visiting the Raja Elephant Museum, the Dalada Museum, and viewing the statues and murals. You may participate in worship by lighting an oil lamp and offering flowers to the Tooth Relic. -
Kandy Lake - After enjoying the view at Kandy View Point, the tour proceeds to Kandy Lake. Also known as Kiri Muhuda or the Sea of Milk, Kandy Lake is an artificial lake in the heart of Kandy, Sri Lanka, built in 1807 by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe next to the Temple of the Tooth. A small island in the middle of the lake can be reached by boat.
You can walk around the lake, relax on a bench to enjoy the breeze from the lake, and take photos for personal keepsakes. You can also book a boat tour around the lake if desired.
