- Heraion (Sanctuary of Hera) in Perachora - The Heraion of Perachora is a sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Hera, located in a charming cove of the Corinthian Gulf. Besides a uniquely constructed and ancient temple of Hera, several other structures’ remnants have been discovered. The ancient temple’s ruins are scattered around and extend down to the sea. Visiting in the afternoon offers the opportunity to witness the most stunning sunset over the Corinthian Gulf, just above the ancient harbor of Heraion.
- Limni Vouliagmeni - This lake, encircled by a natural pine forest, is regarded as one of Greece’s most beautiful lagoons. Its waters are significantly saltier than the open sea, making them particularly warm and suitable for swimming until late autumn. Around the lake’s perimeter, visitors can find taverns for dining and coffee or simply relax and swim.
- Loutraki - In ancient times, Loutraki was known as Thermai Artemis, renowned for its natural, healing thermal springs. According to mythology, Artemis (Diana), the goddess of forests and hills, paused in this mystical location during her travels through ancient Greece. Today, it is a vibrant town where visitors can enjoy lunch or swim along the inviting four kilometers of beaches stretching across the town. Since 1987, Loutraki has been awarded the blue flag for its clean seas and beaches.
- The Diolkos - The Diolkos was a paved trackway that allowed boats to be transported overland across the Isthmus of Corinth, constructed in the 6th century BC. This shortcut enabled ancient vessels to avoid the lengthy and perilous circumnavigation of the Peloponnese peninsula.
- Corinth Canal - The next stop is the Corinth Canal, which opened in 1892, separating the Peloponnese peninsula from the rest of Greece and connecting the Saronic Gulf to the Corinthian Sea. Visitors will have the opportunity to walk across a pedestrian bridge to admire the canal up close, and for the adventurous, bungee jumping is sometimes available.
- Athens - The journey concludes with a drive back to Athens.
