Best tour of our vacation - Our tour guide, Nilton, spoke excellent English and provided a top-notch experience. He was flexible with meeting place and time to accommodate our Cruise ship schedule. He took a personal interest in showing us interesting sites and delicious food. It was a relaxing, enjoyable day outside. Highly recommend!

Travelling highlight - From initial contact through Viatour everything was excellent. We were picked up in our hotel in Miraflores at 8am and drove up the hill to see the view of the coast from the large Christ statue. On the way was the shanty town like the Brazilian Favellas. After 1.5 hours along the coast we stopped at a small clay oven bakery for fresh bread. 20 mins later we were in Pucusana, a colourful fishing village. We went in a small fishing boat to an island and watched 2 dolphins on the way. There were sea lions, pelicans, vultures, Boobies both Peruvian and blue footed, neo tropic cormorant, red legged cormorant, inca tern, sunflower star fish. The highlight though was the Humboldt penguin, they came to the egde of the cliff to check us out! At the end, our boat man fed the birds and we got prize winning shots of Pelicans with mouths wide open. Our guide Jorge was fantastic, excellent English and very knowledgeable about everything we saw. Our drive back was faster and we were back in our hotel by 2:30. This was much better than going on the 4 hour trip to Paracas. Booked through this site and Pax on board was the company.

Great experience touring the... -
Great experience touring the Pucusana fishing village and fishing boat. Antonio our tour guide was terrific - very well spoken and trained as a marine biologist. Picked us up from our hotel in a nice roomy SUV, stopped at a place along the way that makes freshly baked bread in brick ovens the bread was to die for. He had a wealth of information about the biodiversity of the coast and surrounding area, and I was impressed by his expertise. Pucusana is a village from another era - it was amazing to see all of the fishermen waiting to go out in the boats and all of the colorful fishing boats. We took a tour around the inlet with a local fisherman in his boat and the wildlife views were amazing - penguins, terns, sea lions. The water was absolutely crystal clear, no pollution at all. My only regret is not trying the ceviche in one of the local bars near the port - probably would have been the best seafood experience ever. Overall, a very enjoyable time for my family and I.

Immersed in local vibe. Great afternoon!, - From the first communication, Nilton was prompt and accommodating. Because most of my group was in Lima for work we weren’t sure of their availability. Luckily timing worked out and Nilton was available for us the last afternoon of our visit. He picked us up, on time, at our hotel in Miraflores. Nilton is very personable and during our time together made pleasant conversation explaining the culture today of the local people which we all appreciated. I knew what to expect based on other reviews and I was not disappointed! From other reviews I was a bit concerned about the stability of the small fishing boat because one in our group is a super-sized man. No Problem as the boat was very heavy and wide bottomed. Our captain was skilled and his boat was immaculate and very comfortable. Equally fascinating was the tour of the ocean wildlife complete with penguins and many other birds and then boating through the bay where row after colorful row of fishing boats are moored. Could not have had a better experience. All in our group of 4; ages 22 to 67 raved about the day. Thank you Pax on Board.

Spent a relaxing Sunday morning... -
Spent a relaxing Sunday morning observing life in this small fishing village that is off the beaten track and not the usual shore excursion offered by cruise lines. We were picked up on time by Nilton and driver Hugo and driven in a nice, air-conditioned van to Pucusana. Along the way we stopped at a couple of view points and Nilton told us about life in Lima and Peru, the problems the inhabitants face with water shortages while living next to an ocean, and we were able to ask him questions. Nilton spoke perfect English and had lived in the US so was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about problems facing environmentalists today. When we arrived we boarded a small motor boat and went out to an island teeming with several species of birds, including the inca tern and the rate Humboldt penguin. Since we were the only passengers that day, and since my husband is a nature photographer, the boatman was very accommodating to our requests to stay longer in a spot or go back to another one for a better photo. After the boat trip, we walked along the wharf, watching families out for a Sunday of fun before returning to our hotel. A most enjoyable day!

wrong tour - The tour is nothing compared to the ones in Ecuador, for instance Isla de la Plata. The cost is higher and the trip is no comparison. I would not recommend this for their prices..
