Don Bosco 401 - Embark on a half-day (4-hour) adventure in Peru’s Sacred Valley, where you’ll explore the entire cacao journey, from raw bean to ceremonial cup, using the rare and ancient Chuncho cacao strain. This is a unique opportunity to experience cacao in its purest form, unlike typical chocolate. Participants will engage in hand-roasting, grinding, and molding the cacao themselves. The first two hours involve a hands-on artisanal workshop, including hand-sorting, roasting, cracking, grinding, and molding your own ceremonial cacao. The final two hours feature a trauma-informed cacao ceremony, where you will consume the cacao you crafted, engage in heart-opening practices, emotional integration, meditative breathwork, somatic awareness, and integration practices, along with tools to take forward. Depart feeling grounded, with a personalized medicinal dose of ceremonial cacao and a deep connection to Andean tradition. This experience is unparalleled in the Sacred Valley.
Master the art of cacao alchemy and enjoy a blend of meditation, soulful somatic healing, high-altitude breathwork, and ancient ceremony in the heart of the Andes.

Guidance is provided by Juanita Hufnagel, a two-time Hatun Karpay Initiate and Advanced Shamanic Practitioner with expertise in soul retrieval and somatic integration. As an award-winning author and TRE-Certified specialist, she seamlessly blends ancient traditions with modern nervous system regulation.
The program is co-facilitated by Walther Silva, a native Peruvian IFBB-certified holistic coach and founder of FitAndes. Walther combines professional athletic discipline with advanced breathwork and meditation, focusing on high-altitude performance and mindful movement. Together, they create a trauma-informed, intimate environment that respects the journey of the plant from the high jungle to your heart.
- Health note: Ceremonial cacao is not recommended for those taking SSRIs or MAOIs, those with serious heart conditions or high blood pressure, or those who are pregnant. Please consult your healthcare provider if you have concerns and message before booking if you have questions. We can provide a smaller, ceremonial dose to ensure your safety and comfort.
