Inside, it features three naves, Marian stained-glass windows, and the image of Cristo Pobre (Poor Christ). It serves as a religious and cultural emblem of Chiclayo and has been designated as a Cultural Heritage of the Nation since 1986.
• Parroquia Santa María Magdalena - Ciudad Eten - The Church of Santa María Magdalena in Eten, established in the 16th century, is a significant religious landmark in Lambayeque, Peru. It is renowned for the Eucharistic miracle of 1649, when the Child Jesus is said to have appeared in a consecrated host during the Corpus Christi celebration. The original church was engulfed by desert sands, though some remnants still remain. The current parish, constructed in the 1970s, acts as a hub of faith and pilgrimage, particularly during the celebrations of the Divine Child of the Miracle and Saint Mary Magdalene.
• Parroquia San Pedro - Diocesis de Chiclayo. - The San Pedro Church of Monsefú, erected in 1889, serves as the main parish of the district. It showcases colonial and republican architectural styles, with twin towers, an antique clock, and a curved-molding façade. Inside, it contains religious images and the esteemed altar of Jesus Nazareno Cautivo. Although it is a cultural and religious icon of the town, the church exhibits some signs of wear.
