Cusco - Amazon Pona Lodge.

Paucartambo - We leave Cusco at 5:00 am in the morning in our private car adapted for the route with mountains and jungle, during the trip we will pass many places of tourist attraction such as: Ninamarca Which is a pre-Inca construction of the Lupaca culture, then we will be passing through the Paucartambo valley and the town of Paucartambo, known as the folklore capital of Peru, then we will arrive at the Ajanaco pass, which is the beginning of the Manu National Park and we stop there to register.
From this point we will descend to the Amazon jungle; passing through a beautiful cloud forest. In this area we will take short walks to see exotic birds of the cloud forest, especially the national bird of Peru, the cock of the rock, toucans, tanagers and mammals such as monkeys and coaties, with good luck sloth and spectacled bear, and a great variety of flowers and orchids, Arriving at the Lodge in the afternoon. Amazon Pona Lodge – EcoManu Lodge.

Manu National Park - This day we left the Lodge very early and headed towards the Atalaya. Here we take the canoe and travel down the Madre de Dios River to the parrot clay lick that is located on the river bank. Here we can see macaws and parrots eating clay in macaws clay lick.
Then we will go to Machuwasi Lake and explore this lake on balsa rafts in search of the Capybara ( the largest rodent in the world), Caimans, monkeys, water birds that live in Amazonian lakes. Then we will return by boat to the Eco Manu Lodge which is located near Atalaya.
and In the afternoon we explore the jungle in search of more monkeys, birds, medicinal plants and at night before diner we will look for nocturnal wildlife such as: spiders, tarantulas, frogs, snakes, Caiman, night monkeys and many insects. B.L.D.

EcoManu Lodge - Cusco

Pilcopata - This day after our breakfast we returned by canoe to Atalaya and from there we took our car back to the hummingbird garden to appreciate different types of hummingbirds of all sizes and colors. And from this point we return in our private car to Cusco, ending the trip arriving in Cusco approximately 5pm. B.L.
