Airport to Thimphu

Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge - The tour guide will greet visitors at Paro Airport and provide an overview of the tour. Then, travel to Thimphu via the Iron Bridge. According to Bhutanese history, Thangtong Gyalpo constructed a bridge over the Paro Chhu to Tachog. The successors of the first Chakzampa later built a Lhakhang (temple) here. In 1969, the iron suspension bridge was destroyed by flooding.

Chimi Lhakhang Temple - Known as the fertility temple, it is believed to bless those without children.

Punakha Dzong - Once the capital city of Bhutan, it is now the winter residence for the Central Monk Body of Bhutan.

Punakha Suspension Bridge - One of the longest bridges, it connects communities across the Pho Chhu (Male River).
