Best Inbound Tour Indeed - Thanks to Bhutan Best Inbound Tour, I've had one of the best vacations of my life. From the agent Madhu Sharma to my guide and driver Tenzin "Tax" Loday and Kinley Phuntsho, everyone ensured I was comfortable and that I enjoyed every moment of my trip. Other tourists I met who travelled with this agency also had glowing words of praise for their respective guides and drivers. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Hope to return! - I have to start by praising my guide, TP (Tippy) and driver Rinzen. Everything I saw in Bhutan was incredible, but they made it extraordinary. Not only was Tippy knowledgeable, he repeatedly went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable as did Rinzen. I stayed six nights and easily could have stayed longer. We had some unseasonably wet weather, but Tippy was prepared with multiple ponchos. Many wet hikes and monasteries later, this is the first country I’ve ever visited where I cried when it was time to go home. I typically travel solo and was concerned what it would be like being with two strangers for nearly a week, but truly, I wouldn’t change a thing. The itinerary created by Inbound and the flexibility of the guides made everything perfect. As Tippy got to know my interests and preferences, he’d make great recommendations of alternate r additional activities that we could do. I really hope to go back one day and would gladly choose Inbound again.

Best of Bhutan is not an exaggeration - We can't thank Bhutan Best Inbound Tour enough for the fabulous experience we had.
We arranged this 12 day custom trip at the last minute, in seven days, three weeks before departure. The Global World Peace Prayer Festival was bringing 20,000 Buddhist monks to Thimphu during our trip. Madhu was brilliant in accommodating our preferences, finding places to stay, and suggesting workarounds when obstacles occurred.
When we arrived, we were met by our guide, Lhab Tshering (LT) and our driver, Jigme, two really nice young men. They were constantly cheerful, knowledgeable, attentive, flexible, responsive and easy to get along with. LT was so knowledgeable about the sites we visited that it became and inside joke when he would say several times a day, "The legend behind this is. . . " Highlights of the tour were the Jambay Druk festival in Bumthang where we saw brilliantly costumed monks doing traditional dances and got up at midnight to see the Naked Men's Dance, which was intended to distract the evil spirits. Then we went to the Black Necked Crane Festival in Gangtey, celebrating the return of these endangered birds from Tibet for the winter. We hiked several times to temples and monasteries including one at 12,000 feet (above the tree line) from which we could see the Himalayan peaks. Also, LT took us to his local archery range with his own bow and showed us how he could hit a 12" wide target from 145 meters.
This trip was so fun. Thank you again LT and Jigme.

Best local Bhutanese Travel Agent - Have just returned from an absolutely amazing trip to Bhutan.
A beautiful country with the most lovely people.
Booked the trip through a local travel agency BHUTAN TRAVELROUTERS. Thinley Dorji, the owner of the company accompanied us with a very able driver throughout our travel. His recommendations re hotels and the best route through the country were faultless. He is a fountain of knowledge re all the local sites and made everything interesting and amusing. We felt safe in his capable hands.
Would highly recommend this local company if you are looking to visit Bhutan.

Bhutan (Paro - Bumthang) - My wife and I had a great trip to Bhutan. We booked our tour via BBIT and the experience has been very smooth in terms of communication, discussions and efficiency. Our guides Karma and Nima have been wonderful. Karma was very knowledgeable on Bhutan’s history and culture, always sharing his knowledge and stories with passion. He has plenty of local contacts and arranged many adhoc activities such as hot stone bath and archery for us. Nima, our driver, safely navigated us through the slippery mountain slopes of Bumthang and his knowledge on local roads ensured we did not get lost, even without the need of a GPS.
All in all, we have an amazing and wonderful experience at Bhutan, thanks for BBIT and team.

Contacting Madhu/Guide Tandin Dorji/Driver Choki Dorji are the best choice! - This was my second visit to Bhutan, and from the very beginning — contacting Madhu from the Bhutan Best Inbound to help arrange my trip again — everything went perfectly. Spending another 9 days and 8 nights with my guide Tandin Dorji and driver Choki Dorji made this journey even better than my first experience!
Madhu is a beautiful, patient, and incredibly easy-to-communicate-with coordinator. Tandin and Choki are both handsome, attentive, fun, and thoughtful — and Choki drives very safely, which made me feel completely at ease throughout the trip.
If I ever have the chance to visit Bhutan for a third time, I will definitely choose the same amazing team again! Highly recommended!

Bhutan: Trip Report- A Journey of Scenic Beauty, Hospitality and Soul. - Just returned from Bhutan and writing before the details leaves me.
Day 1- Delhi to Paro. Paro- Thimpu.
Our guide, and driver made every moment feel personal and cared for.
The vehicle was spacious and comfortable for our group of four, and the drive to Thimphu—punctuated by a visit to Tamchog Monastery and the historic iron bridge—set the tone for a journey that blended history with natural beauty.
Walked over the current bridge. The drive was stunning, and we immediately connected with Tashi, who shared stories and insights along the way.
HOTEL- Seven Suites.
Day 2: Thimphu → Gangtey
After breakfast, we set off for Gangtey – a longer drive (over 4 hours) due to motion sickness, but filled with scenic beauty.
Spotted two types of monkeys along the way
Stopped at Dochula Pass with its 108 chortens – the mountain views were spectacular
Visited Wangdue Phodrang Dzong (built in 1638) and had lunch nearby
Hiked the Gangtey Nature Trail – a peaceful, walk through forest and fields, in the rain with nature all around, animals grazing and the quiet and peace, one of the most memorable moments of the trip Checked into Hotel Dewachen; brief power outage due to rain, but candles and warm hospitality made it cozy
Enjoyed strong-handed massages and hearty meals at the hotel.
Hotel Dewachen.
DAY 3- Day 3: Festival Plans Shift → Punakha
Planned to attend a local festival and visit the Black-Necked Crane Center, but rain and delays changed our course
Spent a delightful few hours at Lulu’s Café – great food, ginger-lemon-honey tea, and fun conversations with fellow travelers
Eventually decided to head to Punakha; encountered a landslide en route and waited ~4 hours for clearance
Surprisingly, this turned into a highlight: chatting with locals, shopping at roadside stalls, and enjoying the camaraderie
Late arrival in Punakha; heartfelt debrief with Tashi, who was initially disappointed we missed the festival, but we all agreed the day was full of unexpected fun and enjoyable surprises. Actually- how can you be in such beautiful surroundings and be disappointed???
HOTEL- Four Boutique Hotel, Punakha for 2 nights.
DAY 4 and 5.
Hiked to Namgyal Choling Monastery, built in 2004 by the Queen – serene and scenic, though a bit of a workout!
Visited the majestic Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses
Arrived late to the Suspension Bridge, so didn’t cross, but the views were still worth it
Stopped at a local market and enjoyed a riverside café break – coffee and tea with our guide and driver. Returned to hotel for dinner and had a Merlot which was good.
Day 5: Punakha → Thimphu
Reluctantly left Punakha and returned to Thimphu
Visited the towering Buddha Dordenma statue and the Takin Preserve
Evening stroll through Thimphu’s streets before dinner
Overnight again at Hotel Seven Suites
Day 6: Thimphu → Paro
Visited the Post Office for personalized stamps – a fun and unique souvenir
Explored the Textile Museum and watched artisans at work
Stopped at the Painting School and did some shopping
Arrived in Paro and checked into Tashi Namgay Resort – delighted to be upgraded to riverside cottages. Did more shopping.
Day 7: Tiger’s Nest Hike
Early start for the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang) hike
Advice: do this hike on your second-to-last day to allow time to acclimatize
The hike was challenging but manageable – I reached the top in 2 hours with a 20-minute café break
Two in our group rode horses to the halfway point; we all made it and felt incredibly accomplished
Leisurely descent followed by a hot stone bath and farmhouse dinner – the perfect way to end the day.
Day 8: Departure
Breakfast at the resort, heartfelt goodbyes, and transfer to Paro Airport.
All meals were provided either in the hotels for breakfast and dinners or by our tour company, mostly for lunch and arranged by our guide.
FOOD- Emma Dashi- spicy but you must try. All the meals were was great every time.
ACCOMODATION- we chose 3 star hotel accommodation and was not disappointed at all, actually were pleasantly surprised. No complaints here.
HIGHLIGHTS- Where do I start: Nature Trail in Gangtey, Hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Choling monastery, Tiger's nest hike. Sitting at the Riverside Cafe in Punakha and Lulu's cafe in Gangtey around the stove with rain pouring outside, chatting and interacting with locals and tourists alike. The scenery.
REFLECTIONS & TIPS:
Our return flight to Delhi was rescheduled for a later time and we were informed by our Travel Tour Company before we got there, we met people in the airport who were not informed.
Flexibility is key – some of the best moments came from unexpected changes
Tiger’s Nest: pace yourself, hydrate, and enjoy the journey
Weather: October brought crisp air, light rain, and clear mountain views – pack layers, I actually overpacked- expecting it to be cooler than it was.
People: Bhutanese hospitality is genuine and warm – from guides to café owners
Souvenirs: personalized stamps, textiles, and local snacks were favorites
Connectivity: expect occasional power outages and limited Wi-Fi – embrace the digital detox.
Bhutan isn’t just a destination—it’s a feeling. Peaceful, grounded, and full of quiet wonder. We left with full hearts, deeper friendships, and a renewed appreciation for the beauty of slowing down.

A magical trip to Bhutan - We have just returned from a 9 day Magical Bhutan Tour with Bhutan Best Inbound Tours. Our experience with this tour company was absolutely excellent, we could not rate them more highly.
Each part of our trip, which included flights to and from Bhutan, all internal transportation (we were supplied with a guide and driver), visas, Bhutan hotel accommodation, a detailed itinerary for the 9 days and management of all the tourist entry costs, was organised to an extremely high standard. Communication was excellent and the team were always extremely responsive and flexible according to our needs.
The itinerary itself allowed us to immerse ourselves fully in the natural and scenic splendour of Bhutan whilst gaining a deep understanding and appreciation of the unique culture and traditions that make Bhutan such a special destination. Highlights of the trip included hiking to the incredible Tiger’s Nest monastery, lighting 108 butter lamps at the Wangsisina nunnery, hoisting prayer flags in the mountains, visiting both the fertility temple and 17th century fortress and monastery (Dzong) in Punakha and hiking the beautiful scenic Longtey Trail in Gangtey.
We also want to give a special thanks to our wonderful tour guide Phub Tshering and our driver, Namgay. Phub’s expertise, insights, flexibility, dedication and charming manner and Namgay’s professionalism and expert driving both made our trip the outstanding success that it was and we could not recommend them both more highly.
Thank you all for what was a magical trip to Bhutan!
