An unforgettable journey — we came as tourists and left as friends - Bhutan is a destination that stays with you long after you leave, and our experience was made all the more special by two remarkable people — our guide Leki and our driver Subba. Leki was simply outstanding. His knowledge of Bhutanese culture, history, and traditions ran incredibly deep, and he had a genuine gift for sharing it in a way that felt engaging and personal rather than like a rehearsed script. We left with a real understanding of this extraordinary country — something you can't get from a guidebook. Subba kept us safe and comfortable on Bhutan's winding mountain roads with calm confidence and a warm smile. Not once did we feel anxious, even on the most dramatic passes. His quiet professionalism made a real difference to the whole experience. We had an absolute blast — laughter, learning, and moments of genuine connection throughout. The booking process itself was also seamless from start to finish. Khusala handled all communication brilliantly: prompt, clear, and always helpful. Everything was exactly as promised, with no surprises.

Once in a lifetime experience we hope to repeat. - A fantastic cultural insight into Bhutan, with some beautiful short hikes. KB (our guide) answered in detail all our questions and explained Buddhist culture and the significance of the monuments we visited. He adapted the itinerary to get the best use of the time. We really enjoyed the hikes from the Dochula pass, over the Kayche La Pass and the Haa Valley Panoramic Trail. The hotels were all to a really high standard - particularly Hotel Lobesa, Thimphu Towers for the location, Mandala Resort for the views. Ugyens Farmhouse Homestay in Haa was a really great experience- so welcoming, comfortable and wonderful food. KB chose great places for lunch every day - we feel like he's enabled us to try a variety of Bhutanese cuisine. We appreciated going out for dinner when staying at hotels that only offered Western food. The itinerary seemed a little ambitious (time wise) on certain days, which KB modified accordingly, and he learned what we liked, a sign of a good guide. We appreciated Dawar's diligent driving, especially in difficult conditions of heavy rains, and the car was comfy, clean and always with water available. We would love to return and would use BTC again to explore Bhutan and will recommend BTC to anyone who wishes to visit Bhutan.

A very successful round trip - Very good organization. Warm welcome and professional execution. Very friendly service from the whole team from reception to farewell. Guide with broad knowledge of historical and cultural backgrounds. The journey was elaborately choreographed. There was something new to experience and discover every day. The hotels and accommodations met our expectations in every respect. Individual wishes were taken into account. Overall a special journey with consistently positive impressions. Many thanks to the team of BTC , especially Chimi, Karma and Suba

Bhutan Culture and Hiking - Incredibly great trip. We booked directly with BTC and were superbly looked after from the first contact until the departure at the airport. As frequent travelers, we are actually used to organizers promising more than they keep. It was really the other way around here. Our expectations were really exceeded. We were 12 days privately traveling with guide, karma and driver, Suba. Both were extremely reliable and helpful and took perfect care of and. In general, we met almost exclusively extremely friendly people in the country. The country is really fascinating. Of course, you cannot expect the same standard of infrastructure as in Germany, but the service is orders of magnitude better. We saw an incredible amount, got to know the culture, went hiking a lot and will take some time to process all the impressions. Btw, we have also met other travellers and have found that the special care provided by Karma is by no means a given. So here again a special thanks to the entire BTC team and especially Karma. Great trip, was a lifetime dream.

Super arranged - Particularly satisfied with the service provided by Bhutan Travel Club! Our expectations have been far exceeded. All the staff we experienced at this Bhutan Travel Club were great, nice, communicative, flexible, informative, resolving where needed. Are therefore new friends rather than “staff”.

Great trip in Bhutan - I have just returned from a 12-day tour with Bhutan Travel Club. The experience was excellent - from the planning stages to the final good-bye. We were able to adapt their cultural tour to our interests, including a very special day at the festival in Thimphu. Our guide, Leki, was fantastic! He was always taking care of us in every way: managing to find "zero-spicey" food for my friend and helping me on the uphill climbs when the altitude was affecting my breathing. Our driver, Dawa, was also great and managed to get us safely where we had to go despite landslides, narrow roads and bumpy potholes. I can recommend BTC very highly!

Loved our trip - My husband and I traveled with BTC in April and had a fantastic trip. Everyone on the BTC team was so professional, from Chimi who created our itinerary to our guide Leki T. and driver Kinley W. We really enjoyed getting to know Leki and Kinley, two young guys who made our adventure even more fun. Leki did a great job of knowing how much detail to go into at each temple and Kinley took amazing care of his car. Each day it was spotless and fully stocked with water and Kleenex and anything else we might need. During my research on Bhutan, many travelers (not BTC customers) complained about the food quality and endless buffets. BTC and Leki did a great job of taking us to many non-buffet lunches and dinners and they were all fantastic! Our most delicious meals ended up not being at our upgraded 4 and 5 start hotels but at the places Leki took us. One thing I didn’t understand until we arrived is how evening meals work when you upgrade your hotel. At the upgrade hotels, dinners at the hotel restaurant are not included unless noted in your plan. However, BTC always had an option to go to a restaurant for dinner if we did not want to pay for dinner at the hotel. If you are considering a trip to Bhutan, don’t hesitate to book with BTC!

Very good tour operator - An unforgettable experience. Bhutan Travel Club was exceptional at booking our private 12-day trip last November . Our communications with Pelden before the trip was excellent; he was very patient with our endless questions, constant requests, and itinerary changes. Our guide, Sayok, was friendly, professional, and remarkably knowledgeable on Buddhism, with excellent English. Hiking to Tiger's Nest with Sayok was the highlight. Our driver, Tshering Dorji, was respectful, safe, and kept his car spotless throughout the journey. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend them for a tailored Bhutanese experience. I’m giving a four star because we were told all the hotels were confirmed early in the process, only to find out we’re staying at a different hotel in Thimphu and Punaka.

Bhutan in November - Our guide Sayok was open and friendly, spoke English well, and very knowledgeable about Buddhism in Bhutan. Tsering our driver with his own car was very thoughtful of our wishes. It is indeed a non-western culture. Highlights were the various temples, the Punakha Dzong, the Ogyencholing Palace, the National Museum, the mask dances at the Bumthang festival, and Tigers Nest monastery. The flight back from Bumthang to Paro was panoramic with many Himalayan mountains below blue sky. With no fault of the tour operator, the rain on the first 3 days canceled 2 hikes and a river trip. Also the black necked swans had not arrived to Phobjikha in their migration when we were there November 2. The hikes could have been longer. But overall a very memorable trip well worth the effort.
