Awesome Auvers Van Gogh Walk with Victor! - We had a wonderful time exploring the countryside and van Gogh’s last hometown with Victor. He was a kind and engaging host who took the time to explain many things about van Gogh‘s life and times as we went along our way. The walk is fast-paced, and we enjoyed that. We recommend Victor highly! Check out his « Go Hiking Paris » group too!

Well worth the time - Worth it in my opinion. Victor was quite knowledgeable, and has done his and continues to do his research. There are a few other things to do in Auvers sur Oise such as visit Doctor Gauchet's homestead which pairs well with visiting Musee D'Orsay and seeing the original works

Phenomenal Victor! - Victor is a phenomenal tour guide. The level of expertise and knowledge of Van Gogh as well as Van Gogh's history in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, and Auvers-sur-Oise is spell bounding. We have never experienced such a tour. Victor walks you through the actual wheat fields, churches, and town square painted by Van Gogh. The extensive knowledge imparted by Victor is second to none. Be prepared and in shape to keep up with Victor's speed on the hike, he has some engine! Take this hiking adventure with Victor...you will talk about your adventure for years!

Walk through countryside to the village of Auvers. See in context where Van Gogh painted some of his most famous works. - A great opportunity to take a breath outside the city. Starting at Pontoise we walked along the River Ouse then climbed a deserted country lane to reach the town of Auvers-sur-Oise where Vincent van Gogh spent the last two months of his life. It was fascinating to compare copies of his paintings with existing buildings and experience the broad expanse of the surrounding landscape. It was sad to visit the hilltop cemetery where Vincent had been finally reunited with his brother Theo. Victor is an amazing guide who provided so much information and insight into the life of Vincent. He is very skillful in his ability to educate without lecturing. He kept my interest the whole day.

You will leave inspired to live fully- must book with Victor to get the full understanding and experience 🌻 🎨 - Once in a lifetime opportunity Victor's passion for art, hiking and nature is contagious! Perfect pace of movement & absorbing information. There is no way I could have obtained all of this information nor explored the route alone and within the span of one afternoon. Even if you are not an art enthusiast and even if you are an expert of Impressionism, you will be delighted and refreshed from your time with Victor. My mum and I left feeling inspired and exhilarated. Thank you Victor! And thank you to the two other ladies for the time you shared with us.

Where Art, Landscape, and Story Come Together - I did not expect this tour to be one of the most memorable experiences of my trip, but it truly was. Victor is energetic, knowledgeable , and a compelling storyteller who occasionally lightens the mood with perfectly timed humor. The quizzes were a real highlight. He builds anticipation around each question and keeps everyone engaged from start to finish. We went deep into Van Gogh and the Post Impressionism era, exploring not just the art but the artist’s mind and the context of his work. One of the most memorable aspects was how Victor correlated real life structures and landscapes with paintings from that time, allowing us to see the village through Van Gogh’s eyes. The hike itself is beautiful, with stunning landscapes throughout, making the journey just as rewarding as the stories. If you are looking for something unique, immersive, and different from the usual, this tour is absolutely worth it.
