- Overlord Museum - Omaha Beach - Operation Overlord was the code name for the Allied invasion of northwest Europe. This museum boasts an unparalleled collection of military equipment used in the defense or attack of the Normandy coast, including a full-sized authentic Higgins boat with its front flap down, and impressive Sherman and Panzer tanks.
- Batterie Allemande de Longues-Sure-Mer - This German Battery features a fully intact Command Bunker and three other bunkers still armed with massive 150 mm guns. Visitors can explore the bunkers with a guide and discover what occurred on the morning of D-day from the Axis perspective, learning about Rommel’s defenses known as the “Atlantic Wall.”
- Domaine de l’Hostréière - For lunch, visitors can stop at a charming, family-run restaurant like l’Hostéière. The coast offers no fancy dining, only quaint spots with fresh local foods such as salads, omelets, barbecued meats, and crepes. Lunch is not included in the tour price, allowing guests to choose from the menu, with an expected cost of 10-20€.
- Pointe du Hoc - Pointe-du-Hoc was a strategic German defensive position with large guns aimed at both Omaha and Utah Beaches. Capturing it was a top priority on D-day. Visitors can walk around large bomb craters to the edge of a 110ft tall seaside cliff and learn how Rudders Rangers scaled it using rocket-powered grappling hooks and bayonets.
- Cimetiere Americain de Colleville-sur-Mer - This cemetery features 9,388 white marble tombs arranged in perfectly straight lines. Visitors can walk among the Crosses and Stars of David with a guide and pay respects to those who gave everything. The site includes Medal of Honor recipients and the Niland brothers, whose story inspired the movie “Saving Private Ryan.”
- Ferme de la Sapiniere - Before the war, Normandy was known for its apple orchards. These orchards produce a variety of apples, transforming them into delightful apple juices, hard ciders, and a strong liquor called Calvados. Visitors can stop at a local orchard to taste some of Normandy’s renowned cider, with the tasting included in the tour.
