Le Marais walking tour with Cecilia - a must! - This walking tour of Marais in Dec 2025 was very enjoyable - my host was Cecilia and I was her only guest, so it turned out to be a private tour! She had the best energy, knew so much information and we had a great few hours walking around the arrondissement, chatting and learning about the history. Such a beautiful district to explore and Cecilia made the experience enjoyable. Highly recommended... especially the sweet treat you get on the tour. Delectable!

Relaxed tour through history - Had Celine as a tour guide. She took us through several neighborhoods and gave us just the right balance of history and culture, mixed with her favorite recommendations of restaurants, bakeries, etc. Definitely noticed details about the city I would have never on my own.

Best walking tour - Max was excellent. He showed us around the area and told us lots of history and local tips. He was very knowledgeable and interesting. We also enjoyed the patisserie snack!

Review Hidden Marais . Guide Max - We had a great afternoon with Max Tineo. He was an informative guide with lots of information and anecdotes about the area and especially the art with his own background as an artist. He was very relaxed and happy to answer questions and do something with humour and knowledge. The area is quirky and we got lots out of it by being guided round the hidden streets and courtyards of the area. Would recommend

Excellent Walking Tour - Benoit was a super guide and really brought out the history and culture of the Marais as home to some of the only parts of medieval Paris remaining. His presentation style was easy to understand, and he really brought the area to life. We had never been to the Marais and highly recommend this tour. Loved it!

Great guide, good insights of Paris - Camila is a wonderful guide — passionate about every corner of Paris. She took us through hidden details of the city, showing us street art, explaining the architecture of the buildings, and always telling us the stories behind them. She even shared fascinating facts about the trees — from fig and quince to linden and the elm tree in front of Saint-Gervais. We also learned quirky history like the old window tax, ground tax. She made Paris come alive in such a unique way!

Love it! Small group, big experience 🖤 - Super highly recommended if you want a tour that feels personal, insightful and genuinely enjoyable, this is the one!
The small group size made it feel very personalized, yet interactive at the same time. A lot of this had to do with our guide, Camila. She was truly outstanding; always attentive, making sure everyone was comfortable, sharing fascinating stories and insights you wouldn’t normally find in a guidebook, and presenting each place from her own personal perspective, inviting us to really observe and enjoy it.
We visited incredible spots, learned so much history and hidden details, and even got to try a “merveilleux” treat along the way.

Delightful tour with a pastry most marvellous - A big thank you to Benoit who was my tour guide today (and just mine! I felt rather spoiled) and as other reviews mention an absolute fountain of information. There was no question he couldn't answer and his passion and interest for Paris and its history was lovely. If you prefer to explore on foot and see a city the way its locals see it you will enjoy this tour. If you have a sweet tooth you will also very much enjoy the delicious little pastry treat partway through - although you'll be tempted to come back for 10 more.

Nice guide but content a bit light on - This tour was ok but not exceptional. We decided to do the tour because we were staying in the Marais area. The tour guide was lovely but a bit hampered by the fact that the group was largish and included individuals who didn’t have the fitness to keep up with the pace.
The content of the tour was adequate but I’ve done other walking tours and I’d say this one was quite superficial.
