Fun lesson - Marie was so lovely and patient explaining the whole process to prepare and making of the macarons. We dont do the shell of the macarons as it takes 1h to settle and then oven, but we are shown how to do it and we get to practise. We do learn how to mix the ingredients of the macarons and assemble them. We get to take 4 home 2 chocolate, 2 pistachio and the step by step recipe to try do it at home. It was a good way to spend the morning would recommend it for a diferent experience in Paris.

The perfect macaron cooking class for my teenage kids and I! - We so enjoyed our macaron baking class. Our pastry chef was awesome. Her pace was perfect and it was very easy to understand and follow her directions. I read the reviews before I booked, some of which mentioned that they felt cheated because we don’t make the merengue shells in class and instead make the fillings and use pre-made shells. But that part made total sense to me. It’s not actually culinary school, it’s a 90 minute long demonstration. Not enough time for a group of that size to make your own shells and fillings. We learned the differences in merengues and many helpful tips to use when we try the recipe at home (which we are trying today!) Plus, the Galleries Lafayette is a beautiful store with something for everyone. It was a great choice for my daughters and I!

Great experience - Great small group. Chef was absolutely great and really taught us a lot. I wish it was in an actual bakery but still a fun experience.

Not worth the time or money - I was very disappointed with this class. We didn’t get to make the meringue- just watched the chef. We each got to pipe two cookies and we each got to make 2 teaspoons of filling . Everything was measured out - we just mixed . We each put together 4 macarons -done in just over an hour - hardly a good learning experience- and for this we paid $70 us . It could have been so much better. We have had many great polo g school experiences but this wasn’t one of them .

Missed the class due to malicious act and Viator did not give us a refund - We came from Lyon to Paris using train at 1.08 PM to reach our cooking class lesson at 5 PM. However, there was an incident in which signalization cable was cut on the railway to Paris Gare de Lyon . As such, the entire trains were delayed. We tried to get another train around 4 PM and finally reached Paris at 9 PM after multiple delays along the way. We missed our cooking class and Viator did not want to give us a refund.
