Fun macaron making class! - I surprised my boyfriend with this macaron making class during our trip to Paris and we had the best time! It was a small group of 9 people which made it really easy to follow along. The instructor was really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Paris for a unique experience.

Enjoyable and educational! - My daughter and I were on holiday in Paris and we attended the Macaron Bakery Class. It was a fantastic experience. The lady leading the class was friendly and very thorough with her explanations and clearly demonstrated the process from start to finish of baking the perfect Macaron. We made a total of 8 macarons between us - a combination of Chocolate and Pistachio. They were delicious and we will be attempting to make them when we get home.

Macarons Made Approachable - I’ve always been a bit shy about making macarons, but seeing them made firsthand gave me the confidence to try them at home. The instructor was very clear about what to watch for to get the best results, clearly outlining all the dos and don’ts so common mistakes are easy to avoid. I loved the class and would highly recommend it.

Marie did fine - Overall Marie did a fine job. The only thing she should change is to point out, at the very beginning, that we were first going to make the shells and then the fillings. Also, there should be more towels to dry our hands after washing.

Great intro to Macarons - I finally got to try my hand at making Macarons. The chef was very engaging, she provided great instructions and was very encouraging to the class. Now while we didn't actually get to make the Macarons shells, as it requires more time than the class would allot for, we did make two types of ganache and filled pre-prepared macarons.
We all got to take home four macarons each, 2 chocolate and 2 pistachio. Can't wait to try the recipe at home.
Good intro to macarons.

Not worth it - Not a great experience. We got there 10 mins early as suggested, and the whole class was there waiting for the instructor to let us in. She was 10 mins late and didn’t say one word about that or apologize. There was zero “vibe”; no music in the background and it was oddly quiet. The instructor spoke quietly and was difficult to understand at times. And you aren’t actually making macarons. You watch her make the base for the top and bottom, and then you get to stir together the ingredients for the filling and pipe them on pre-baked macarons. It lasted about an hour (said it was 90 mins). We had looked in to another class that was at a French cooking school, and it was more than double the cost so I guess you get what you pay for. I would skip this one unless you just need a 60-90 min low key activity to do.

If you are looking for... - If you are looking for more hands on, this is more of demonstration and participation. Still learned a lot and got recipe. The fact it is in Galeries Lafayette made it fun.
