Where Art, Landscape, and Story Come Together - I did not expect this tour to be one of the most memorable experiences of my trip, but it truly was. Victor is energetic, knowledgeable , and a compelling storyteller who occasionally lightens the mood with perfectly timed humor. The quizzes were a real highlight. He builds anticipation around each question and keeps everyone engaged from start to finish. We went deep into Van Gogh and the Post Impressionism era, exploring not just the art but the artist’s mind and the context of his work. One of the most memorable aspects was how Victor correlated real life structures and landscapes with paintings from that time, allowing us to see the village through Van Gogh’s eyes. The hike itself is beautiful, with stunning landscapes throughout, making the journey just as rewarding as the stories. If you are looking for something unique, immersive, and different from the usual, this tour is absolutely worth it.

Hiking the Footsteps of Van Gogh - You do have to be fit somewhat to do this because it is a true 6 mile or more hike, walk. I enjoyed it so much walking in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh was just incredible.! What a beautiful town, and Victor was very knowledgeable, friendly, graceful guide. I learned so much about Vincent van Gogh, and the stages of troubled life as well as his amazing talent. I highly recommend this tour !

Vincent Van Gogh Hike - I had such a great time with Victor, an incredible guide. The hike was beautiful and the town so beautiful and charming. I learned so much about Vincent Van Gogh from Victor, that I did not know. I would advise anyone who loves art and especially the impressionist era to do this tour. You really feel like you get to know Vincent van Gogh, his personality, his talent, his troubles -he really was a genius . I have a lot of admiration for his brother Theo, as well. Theo who always supported Vincent's dream financially and emotionally. It was magical to see where Vincent lived, painted, where he got his inspiration, where he stayed at the hospital, where he is buried. You really do walk where Vincent Van Gogh walked! I give this tour a 15! Victor obviously loves what he does! Thank you Victor !👏

Van Gogh hike with Victor. - We hiked with Victor, it was truly wonderful from start to finish. Victor was an exceptional guide - warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about both hiking and the history of the area. The route itself was beautiful and thoughtfully paced, with stunning countryside views and a really special connection to Van Gogh’s life and work that made the experience feel meaningful, not just scenic. Victor shared fascinating stories and historical context along the way without it ever feeling like a lecture—just engaging, easy conversation that deepened our appreciation of what we were seeing. He was attentive to the group, made sure everyone was comfortable, and created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere throughout the hike. This was the perfect balance of nature, culture, and gentle adventure. If you’re looking for a hike near Paris that feels authentic, enriching, and personal, I can’t recommend this experience or Victor - highly enough. 🌿🎨🥾

A wonderful day outside of Paris! - I've actually done this tour with Victor several times and I always learn something new. Today we brought a group of our friends who loved it too. It is a fabulous way to spend a day outside of Paris following in the footsteps of the impressionist, especially Van Gogh.

A must-do before visiting the D’Orsay! - Victor was so knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Van Gogh and a pleasure to be with! It was awesome to see the places Vincent painted. It made the next visit to the D’Orsay to see the paintings themselves so much more meaningful! Hiking is definitely the operative word in the description—-make sure you are wearing hike appropriate shoes!!

Excellent Paris hiking and art experience - off the beaten path! - We wanted a hiking experience while we were in Paris, and also learn something about French art and culture. We found it! Victor is enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about hiking in the area as well as Van Gogh and the Impressionists. If you like to hike, love art, and want to do something truly “off the beaten path” in Paris—this is it.
