You’ll enjoy a few of these caramel recipes before turning your attention back to chocolate. You’ll alternately visit two extraordinary chocolate factories. The first displays a wide array of carefully prepared chocolate mousses. Absolutely jaw-dropping! Mousses are a feast for the mouth, but the bars’ packaging is a feast for the eyes. This engaging and gourmet tour features 7 tastings. As you explore, children will engage in a treasure hunt to uncover the next location where you’ll savor some of France’s finest treats: macarons, caramel, and various chocolates!
The adventure begins at the oldest chocolate factory in Paris. As you continue, macarons take center stage. The next treat is a French specialty that can be enjoyed in many forms, such as candy, jam, or cream: salted butter caramel. You’ll have the chance to relish some of these caramel delights before returning to pastries to enjoy a delectable cream puff. The tour concludes with a refreshing ice cream in the summer or a warming hot chocolate in the winter.

Meet the Locals Made our Paris Trip AMAZING! - Marcella from Meet the Locals made the sweets tour through the St Germain area so fun! She took us to many beautiful specialty shops while tellins us about the foods and the charming area. We were able to try delicious treats like chocolates, caramels, macarons, hot chocolate, crepes, meringue cakes and unique jams during as blind tasting visit to a very elegant jam shop. The experience was very memorable, and I would highly recommend Meet the Locals. Their communication, organized planning details and tour guide were fabulous!

Excellent family tour in one of the most charming neighborhoods in Paris - Tifenn was delightful! She felt like a longtime family friend. She’d done her homework and knew all 6 of our names right off the bat. We have 4 kids, ages 6 through 15 and Tifenn kept them all engaged and involved. It was a highlight to our trip to Paris! Just make sure you show up hungry!

The booking process was easy - Dominique was super responsive and helpful with questions we had.
Our guide Nathalie was so amazing we would have hung out with her all day if she let us ;-) She gave us the most exquisite tour of the Marais area visiting patisseries, chocolatiers and other tasty surprises, telling us stories about Paris and more along the way. We loved every minute of our time with her (my husband, myself and our 12 yr old daughter) Would definitely use them again in the future!

A highlight of our trip! - Wow! This was so much more than we expected. A highlight of our trip. Tifenn, our guide, took us and our kids (11 and 13) to about 7 different places and 7 unique treats. It took about 2 hours and the walking was in a small area. Tifenn was a great storyteller giving us the history of the treats and the stores. A highlight of our trip!

Our tour was fantastic.... - Our tour was fantastic. We went to 7 different spots, and learned the history of the area while eating delicious treats. Our host was knowledgeable and personable, and even kept our kids engaged for the entirety of the tour. We would do this again!

An experience we will remember - This was a fun and engaging experience. We learned some fun food and Parisian history while enjoying some yummy treats. Nathalie was very friendly, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. I enjoyed how she interacted directly with our 12 year old son to get him more engaged with the experience. This was certainly a fun way to experience Paris and create some unique family memories.

The BEST tour company in Europe! - Meet the Locals is THE BEST tour company in Europe!! Our family has been a client of Meet the Locals for the last 7-8 years, since we first started to travel to France with our children at age 3 and 5. (They are now 10 and 12). Their entire team is absolutely amazing and have created so many memories for us – private tours of the Louvre, Versailles, Musee D’Orsay, sweets tours in St. Germain, the Tower of London, and others. Each of our tours have been geared perfectly towards our children’s ages and interests and have been fun and entertaining for both children and adults! They offer a great selection of options on their website and will always work with you to tailor to your interests. We first met their team while in Paris, and they now offer tours in several countries, including Italy, England, and Scotland, and of course many great options across France. On our most recent visit for Christmas 2024, we had yet another amazing experience with a city walking tour of Strasbourg, France with Christelle (Who we knew from a previous tour in Paris the year before!) that gave us a chance to learn about this beautiful city and experience their Christmas markets. We finished our holiday trip in Paris with a sweets tour in Le Marais with Amy, who gave us a wonderful day strolling through Le Marais, learning about its architecture and history while tasting a variety of delicious Parisian sweets. I highly recommend meet the locals for families and adults alike who are looking for a memorable and first class experience while in Europe!

Family Chocolate tour in St Germain - We had a wonderful time with Blandine! She was incredibly patient with our kids and made sure we got to hit all the spots even though we were running a little long. The kids loved all the treats and we got some great history of the city along with tips for other parts of our trip. It was definitely a highlight of our time in Paris for both us and the kids!

Perfect Tour! treats, history and culture - This was a great tour for our family. We loved getting to know the Latin Quarter and learning about French history and culture. It was perfect for teens. The treats were delicious.
