• Champagnes Lanson - Depending on availability, start your day with a visit to a mid to large producer. Options include Lanson (a favorite), Pommery, Taittinger, Veuve Clicquot, or Mumm in the morning. In the afternoon, you might visit Mercier, Boizel, Moet & Chandon (often fully booked), Charles Mignon, or Nicolas Feuillatte in Chouilly. If these are unavailable, there are many smaller producers with excellent champagnes to taste. Booking in advance increases your chances of visiting popular houses, each offering something unique, especially in their cellars.
• Abbaye Saint-Pierre d’Hautvillers - The birthplace of Champagne, where Dom Pierre Perignon’s methods are still followed. The church plays a significant role in history. This guided tour is brief but crucial for understanding Champagne and its history. You’ll drive through the charming village and visit a picnic area for photos or a picnic with champagne.
• Avenue de Champagne - Drive along the world’s wealthiest avenue. You’ll have lunch options here and some free time. Recommendations will be provided en route to Reims. • Paris - Return to Paris. Traffic is usually smooth until EuroDisney, after which it can become quite dense. Drop-off can be at or before Notre Dame Cathedral on the way back via Rive Droite from Pont d’Austerlitz or at the pick-up point.
