Don't miss it! - The visit to the Ballestas Islands is definitely an experience not to be missed. We enjoyed Paracas Explorer very much: punctual and professional; the guide spoke excellent English and easy to understand Spanish; the captain was very shrewd. Really nice outing!

Excellent agency - I did a tour of the Islas Ballestas and it was really good. We saw everything that was advertised: sea lions, penguins, cormorands, vultures and many other birds. Excellent guide, who spook English very well, and really knew what she was talking about. She had no problem answering extra questions and was very friendly.

Ballestas Islands - The islands are impressive and we saw a ton of wildlife. The explanations were very good in Spanish and in English. The sea wasn't too rough on the way to the islands so we didn't feel seasick. We highly recommend taking this 2 hours tour.

Pleasant agency with competent and friendly staff - We booked three activities there, the isla balestas tour, the mini-buggie sand tour and rented 2 bikes! the staff in the agency speaked fluent english, was very helpful and was able to answer all of our questions! For the isla balestas tour we got past all of the waiting people on the pier, the bilingual guide spoke spanisch + english and we got really close to the animals on the islands, great experience! For the dune buggie activity we had a super-committed tour guide that showed us the best spots in the national reserve!🙂 We would totally recommend this agency!

Excellent value boat trip to Peru’s must-see coastal islands - Booked a 2h trip through findlocaltrips.com to see the wildlife of the Ballestas Islands in May 2019. We were able to time this to coincide with the Peru Hop buses we were using as they actually sell this trip on board so we didn’t need to spend the night in Paracas. The boats are fully loaded with busloads of people so you will need to be near the front of your group to get a choice of seat. They are open topped so you get a great view but if it did happen to rain you would get wet, or if like me, you happen to end up at the back of the boat, the waves come over the top and you get pretty wet so take a raincoat or poncho. The staff are friendly and experienced and life jackets are provided. The islands themselves were really cool and I loved having the chance to see all the birds, especially the penguins. Our boat driver was able to get us really close up to some sea lions too, which was amazing. The guide was knowledgeable and pointed out different birds for us. The candelabra was impressive and I’m really glad that I took the boat out to see it and the wildlife.

Good tour agency adaptable to customer's needs - Our tour agency that took care of all our trip in Peru booked also the trips in Paracas and Ica through Paracas Explorer. We had the local pick-ups from the bus to the hotel and back. When we arrived the driver was on time however when we were supposed to go back to the bus for Lima the driver was late. Honestly that caused a bit of a worrying issue as we didn't know if the bus leaves in time or not. So they could improve in this part at least to make sure the drivers are on time for the transfers. We had also a trip to the Ballestas islands with the agency, where a lady working there took us to a boat at the pier to start the trip. All the boats look the same and all the boats follow the same itinerary so I am not sure how much I can comment on the service as I believe the boats are individually owned and the tour agencies just arrange for the trips. Overall the trip was interesting as you get to see the Chandelier as well as the wildlife living on the near by islands. We also had booked the transfer to Movil Air airport and back to get the Nazca flights. I did appreciate that we had the afternoon flight booked by them as when we arrived there due to the weather conditions the morning flight didn't take off. Hence if we would have woken up early we would have just waited there half of the day so I did appreciate that they actually arranged it in a way that we did not lose our day. We had a tour booked with the buggies however we changed our minds once arrived in Ica and wanted a wine tour instead. They took us to a Pisco tour which was ok and far better than the busy sand dunes. So again I appreciated the fact that they are also flexible with the customer's needs. All in all a good company to chose for the local tours and activities. They just need to improve a bit on their transferring and timing but overall we were satisfied with their services and would recommended them to people thinking of booking a tour operator in the area.

Enjoyable quick tour to see the wildlife and experience the Pacific - Went on a 2 hour boat tour to in May 2019 to see the wildlife of the Ballestas islands, mostly sea birds (including some penguins) and sea lions. The boats are open, so we were lucky to have a nice sunny day -- but be careful with the hot sun, and expect some spray if you sit at the back! The barren rocky Ballestas islands are teeming with sea birds, and the boats take you close enough to have a good look and take some pictures. The length of the trip was perfect, and efficiently run so it did not take too long meaning we could fit it into our busy schedule. Very pleased with this tour.
