• Faarumai Waterfalls - With around 130 waterfalls on Tahiti and Moorea, visitors can easily walk to the base of this 100-meter high, permanent waterfall, surrounded by lush rainforest. Vaimahuta is one of three waterfalls in the valley, offering a glimpse into Polynesian life outside urban areas.
• The Water Gardens of Vaipahi - Once reserved for Tahitian burial rituals by the Teva clan, the waters of the Vaipahi waterfall were off-limits for daily use. Since 2010, the gardens have been open to the public, showcasing a variety of vibrant tropical flowers and plants. Pools fed by a natural spring feature water lilies, lotus lilies, koi carp, tilapia fish, and sacred freshwater eels.
• Taharuu Beach - Experience this popular black sand beach, frequented by locals for surfing and used by the local high school for surf lessons. The beach offers a breathtaking view of the mountains.
• Maraa Grotto - Formed from a lava flow and now filled with cool, fresh water, Vaipoiri is one of four caves. It is a favorite spot for Tahitians to swim, with its refreshing and cool waters.
