- Seven Lakes - Travel to Marghuzor, the first lake, situated at an elevation of 1,640 meters. Its name means “eyelashes” in Tajik, and it is renowned for its vibrant colors.
Next, you will visit Soya Lake. Its name means “shadow” because it is nestled between high cliffs, keeping it shaded for most of the day.
The third lake, Gushor, is only 400 meters from Soya. These two lakes are connected by a flowing stream. Named “watchful,” this lake is surrounded by steep cliffs.
The fourth lake, Nofin, is the main lake, translating to “umbilical cord” due to its 2.5 km length.
The fifth lake, located 1.5 km from Nofin and passing through the charming village of Pardut, is Khurdak Lake, meaning “the baby,” as it is the smallest of the seven.
The sixth lake, Marguzor, is the largest and, for many, the most beautiful of the Seven Lakes.
- Seven Lakes - We now drive (Optional trek from Sixth Lake) to Hazorchashma – the seventh and highest of the Seven Lakes, located approximately 2,400 meters above sea level. The name Hazorchashma (or Azorchashma) means “a thousand springs,” as the lake is fed by two rivers along with numerous streams and springs. Hazorchashma is the final lake in the Shing River gorge. The distance is 2.5 km one way, with an elevation gain of 340 meters.

Amazing experience! - Amin was a great guide, and communication with him was always excellent. I initially booked a tour in Samarkand to explore the city, learn about its history, and see some truly spectacular places.
He also suggested other tours, such as Bukhara and the Seven Lakes in Tajikistan, and I decided to join both. During the Seven Lakes tour we could not reach the last lake, possibly due to weather or road conditions, but it did not take away from the experience.
I took incredible photos, met amazing people, and truly enjoyed the journey. The experience left me very happy and with a strong desire to come back. I would definitely contact Amin again and highly recommend him.

Wonderful experience! - This tour was excellent! Amin the tour guide went above and beyond to make it the most comfortable experience - from picking me up from my hotel all the way to dropping me off at the end and also an impromptu stop at Registan square after the tour to take some pictures. He shared about the history, culture and stories about the Tajikistan people. Driving past the Zarafshon mountains and the small mountain villages to get to beautiful lakes left me in awe and wonder. What a magical experience! Highly recommended! Thank you Amin 🙏🏼😊💫✨

Tajikistan hits different 🔥 - Tajikistan is worth to explore especially 7th lakes in winter season. Amin as my guide is very helpful, friendly, and explaining during the trip very well. I am enjoying so much during it

Wonderful tour of the 7 Lakes with Amir - This was a really enjoyable trip to the 7 lakes in Tadjikistan from our hotel in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Amir our guide picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the border and walked through with us to meet our driver on the Tadjikistan side. Stopped at a restaurant to pick up lunch and then drove up to see the 7 lakes. The scenery was amazing, the lakes beautiful and the driver very skillful on the mountain roads. Amir was an amazing guide and he made the trip seamless from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Samarkand and want to visit beautiful scenery. The tour took 10 hours time but it flew by. We left our hotel at 8 am and were back at the hotel at 6 pm.

Fantastic! Breathtakingly beautiful! - This excursion is a must! The Seven Lakes are wonderful, the driver very professional and the car very comfortable. The guide is well versed and tells exciting stories about each lake. I come from a mountain country myself and was very happy about this natural wonder. Thanks to the guide and driver for this unforgettable experience.

An unforgettable trip - You absolutely plan this trip among the days you will spend in Samarkand.
Breathtaking views where the enchantment of the lakes and the ruggedness of the territory alternate.
You will meet many people who have chosen to live in these distant and unspoilt places.
Really unforgettable.
Amin is a lovely person who will entertain you by introducing you to this extraordinary country.
I recommend walking the paths of the first lakes, smaller, then being reached by SUV.
The meal is chosen in a good diner in Panjakent, and then eaten when you get to the last lake.
It's a long journey, but on the way back you'll regret not having more time to dive in these places.

Super Samarakand tour guides - Uzbekistan is a must! Our tour guides Shahzod and Amin made the trip really magical. It didn’t really feel like a tour guide other than a family trip. We used them to tour Bukarah and the the 7 lakes and honestly can say it was a great experience. They both speak great English and have great knowledge on the history and culture of Uzbekistan. We engaged in lots of deep discussions on history, politics and religion. We would highly recommend Amin and Shahzod as tour guides.
And if you really want Amin will sing for you, he has a great voice!

A real experience! - A great tour with super dear guide, hotel pickup was on time.
The car in Tajikistan was very good, the driver very friendly and attentive. Picnic on the lake very good.

Great Tour to the Seven Lakes!! - Wonderful immersive experience into the Tajik culture and nature. I definitely recommend going on this tour with Amin, who made our experience even greater. Intelligent, funny, knows a lot about Uzbek culture and history and speaks real good English.
