Everything unfolded as scheduled. Pickups and returns to the hotel were punctual. Portal to portal service made the trip easy for us. Food and services on the boat were appropriate. Bus trip back to Panama city was comfortable and prompt.
It was an amazing day. Good people, well organized, great fun!
We really enjoyed this trip. The transfer driver was pleasant, helpful and timely and the vehicle was clean and comfortable. Our onboard expert "Gus" was great and very knowledgeable. On board food and drinks were excellent. One recommendation, on the return trip by coach I would really have liked a little information about the areas we drove thru, like old Fort Clayton, Ancon Hill, etc. All in all a great day .Everyone enjoyed it, from my 87 year old Mother to my 23 year old niece.
The tour was great ! Well organised, well commented, the speaker was interesting, food was nice, the pick-up by car well organized and the driver very professional and nice. So : Everything's perfect !
I was initially worried. I travel with no phone and e-mail is the only way to reach me. My hotel internet was spotty and since I had not heard from ancon in weeks concerning a pick up time I was afraid the trip would fall apart. The through canal trip is only offered once per month, so I couldn’t rebook it. To my relief the excursion went off without a hitch. The canal exceeded my expectations. The multilingual trip guides were awesome. The travel to and from the venue was more lengthy than I would have liked, but not enough to dim the brilliance of this trip.
Very interesting tour, the comments of the guide were very interesting and all was well organized from the puck up at the airport to the meals. We spent an excellent day.
The boat was very crowded but very well organized.
The guide was very informative and approachable. The food was good. The experience was terrific.
The Ocean to Ocean Panama Canal Transit tour was fantastic! I learned so much and the guide and staff were great. Thanks for making this day a highlight of my vacation.
Loved the interesting narrative about the mechanics and history of the canal. Gus was very easy to understand and kept things interesting. The food was good and the color-coded groups made things run smoothly. I really loved this tour, but do have some feedback for improvement: I would suggest having larger cups for the water - those tiny cups weren't adequate to hydrate and it was too much to continually run downstairs to get more. I assume you didn't give out bottled water for environmental reasons; however, 10 of those tiny cups (each of which are thrown away) were probably the equivalent of one large bottle and you could always recycle. No one follows the directions to not "save seats" by putting down backpacks, etc., so some enforcement there or extra reminders might be warranted. Our driver, Johann, was 1/2 hour late picking us up back at the pier. Having said that, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this trip!
