- Panama Canal - Our first stop is at the Miraflores Visitor Center of the Panama Canal. The visitor center is made up of 3 main areas: 10-minute video presentation with complete information on the Channel 3 exhibition floors (History, technology and 1 simulator) The upper terrace, where you can see the live action of the transit of the ships in his passage through the locks
- Mercado Nacional de Artesanias - There will be a small tour of the craft market
- Bridge of the Americas - We will visit the viewpoint of the Bridge of the Americas
- Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador) - This is the perfect place to cool off with the cool breeze of the Pacific Ocean, take the best photos of the city from the sea and enjoy a delicious homemade ice cream or an exquisite ceviche offered by the restaurants of the place. Outstanding Half-Day Panama City & Canal Locks Tour – Perfect for Solo Travelers
This half-day Panama City and Panama Canal locks tour with Alfredo was absolutely fantastic and exceeded all my expectations. As a solo traveler, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a better guide.
The tour was perfectly paced and covered a great mix of history, culture, and iconic sights. Visiting the Panama Canal locks was a true highlight—seeing the ships pass through up close was fascinating, and the guide explained the process clearly and in an engaging way. I learned so much about how the canal works and its importance to Panama and the world.
Alfredo was truly amazing: knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Panama City. He shared insightful stories, answered all my questions with patience.
Transportation was smooth and well-organized, and the city tour gave a great overview of Panama City in a short amount of time—perfect if you’re limited on time but still want to see the highlights.
I highly recommend this tour, especially for solo travelers who want an informative, safe, and memorable experience. An excellent introduction to Panama City and the canal—worth every minute! Asked for Alfredo!!!

Good tour of Panama city - I booked this tour last second bc of some suitcase drama with the airports. Margarita and Fernando were accommodating to change the tour time and our last second booking to meet our needs. The tour was ok, with definite room to improve and grow. The company should definitely consider to hire and fully train an English speaking tour guide so that there was less translating while on the tour. My thoughts are the Spanish version of the tour would be incredible due to a lack of a language barrier. Eventually the tour became more conversational on the current climate and life in Panama, which I personally enjoy chatting about with locals to all places I travel to.
We visited Casco Viejo, the Panama Canal, the Causeway, and the others I couldn’t understand exactly what we saw. One recommendation is writing out all the points of interest that you’ll be showing on your tour as information. Besides that there was cold water provided and chips for free. The vehicle was air conditioned which was nice; except my headrest was broken and kept folding in. Regardless, it was a great memory, very last minute booking, and the tour guides were extremely friendly and nice people! Thank you both for a wonderful day.
