Fun and informative - Mike was great! He knew so much about the history of Panama and was able to show us things along the way. Seeing the canal and the imax movie were incredibly interesting!

Time well spent - José arrived ahead of time, was extremely polite and attentative at all times. He had extensive knowledge of his native Panama and we enjoyed his tour very much. The time passed qickly and we learned a great deal. We would highly recommend this tour.

Half-day tour with flexible time - Thank you so much for your time. We delayed the scheduled 7:30 departure until 10:30 because of an emergency, and Cristina was so cheerful that she agreed. And led us through a very enjoyable half-day trip to Panama City.

5hr Private Tour of Panama City with Panama Routes - We took this tour in September 2025 to coincide with our cruise ship's itinerary in port at Fuerte Amador (on a causeway approximately 10-15 miles from the old town of Panama City). I am sure we would have been fine with the small group tour, but unfortunately the (departure) timing didn't work with our scheduled arrival, so we elected for a private tour. Mike, our tour guide, was in touch 20 mins ahead of our collection time to let us know he was waiting for us to exit the pier and drove us around in an almost brand new Geely Okavango; so in superb luxury! Mike was personable and extremely knowledgeable, filling our 5 hours packed with information. We were chauffeured around the new and old (parts of) Panama City, were taken over the Bridge of the Americas (and to a viewing spot for great photos), around 'West' Panama City and the Canal Zone (to see the new bridge and metro construction) and to the Panama Canal Visitors' Centre at Miraflores Locks. We particularly enjoyed the IMAX presentation, narrated by Morgan Freeman. Sadly there were no ships passing through these locks at the time we were there, but the viewing platform still provided a different perspective from being in them the previous day (on board the Island Princess). Overall and thanks to Mike and Panama Routes, we had a very enjoyable (just over 1/2 day). Our only disappointment was not to have been able to stop and spend more time (walking around) the old town; but the traffic and schedule (plus a lack of parking) ruled this out - I guess this just gives an excuse to come back to Panama City in the future!

Anytime again - Great tour of Panama City with everything that goes with it. Altstadt. Panama Canal etc. Great tour guide. Simply recommended.

Friendly Professional More than we expected! - Jennifer was the most amazing guide! Showed us lots of gems! Knew everyone around town and made us feel very welcome touring her hometown! She went above and beyond to park in safe places and help us know the history of Old Town and the economic impact of the Canal and its importance to their region. I would highly recommend this tour and request Jennifer if you can!

Amazing birthday in Panama - Our guide Jennifer was a star. She was very knowledgeable friendly and made the day very enjoyable. My huband and I certainly enjoyed our tour and she made my birthday extra special. Definitely request Jennifer to be your tour guide

Panama on the ground - Covers a lot of ground, shopping, and history. Guide delivered with ease, no all at once overload. Alex was great and did not rush

Overall was good. Hope the tour guild keep his political opinion to himself. - It was good, but just wet and we could not walk around much. We did not get to the French Ruin, because of rain.

Improveable tour - Jose has been very kind. Good part of the Panama Canal but when entering Casco Viejo has been a mousetrap, I don't think it advisable to get in by car, in fact we have asked him to let us finish and not continue the Tour as we had been stuck for an hour.
