Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador) - The Amador Causeway is one of Panama City’s most scenic and popular destinations. Stretching over 6 kilometers, it connects the mainland with four Pacific islands: Naos, Perico, Culebra, and Flamenco. Constructed with rocks excavated during the building of the Panama Canal, it offers stunning views of the city’s skyline, the canal entrance, and the Pacific Ocean. It’s a favorite spot for walking, cycling, dining, and relaxing by the sea. One of the most iconic photo spots along the Causeway is the colorful “Panamá” sign.

Pedro Miguel Locks - The Pedro Miguel Locks are one of the three lock sets that make up the Panama Canal. Located on the Pacific side, near Miraflores, these locks raise or lower ships approximately 9 meters (30 feet) as they transit between the Pacific Ocean and Gatun Lake. Although smaller and less visited than Miraflores, Pedro Miguel offers a close-up view of the canal’s impressive engineering and, in good weather, the chance to see massive vessels navigating this crucial waterway. Ships can be viewed from the parking area.

Casco Viejo - Plaza de la Independencia, situated in the heart of Panama City’s Casco Antiguo (Old Town), is one of the country’s most historic and vibrant squares. It was here in 1903 that Panama declared its independence from Colombia. Surrounded by iconic colonial buildings like the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Interoceanic Canal Museum, and charming cafes, the plaza is a lively hub that captures the essence of Panama’s cultural and historical heritage.
-
F&F Tower - The F&F Tower, popularly known as “El Tornillo,” is one of Panama City’s most iconic skyscrapers. Located in the financial district of Obarrio, this 52-story tower stands out for its unique spiral design, resembling a giant screw. Its modern architecture makes it a symbol of urban development and innovation in the country.
