- Palma de Mallorca - The tour kicks off at Camí de la Escollera, right in front of the Cathedral of Palma, around 09:15 hrs. Palma’s origins trace back to a Roman camp built on a Talaiotic settlement. The city endured several Vandal invasions during the decline of the Western Roman Empire, was later reclaimed by the Byzantine Empire, colonized by the Moors (who named it Medina Mayurqa), and in the 13th century, it was conquered by James I of Aragon.
- Soller - Sóller is a charming village situated three kilometers from the Port on Mallorca’s northeast coast, recognized as the commercial and cultural hub of the Serra de Tramontana. Nestled in a valley encircled by mountains known as ‘el valle de Los Naranjos’ (the valley of orange trees), it features a picturesque central square, the village’s main gathering spot, surrounded by quaint, cobbled streets. Upon reaching Sóller, the commercial and cultural heart of the Sierra, visitors are welcomed by the main square, ideal for relaxing on a terrace while admiring the church of San Bartolomé and the Banco de Sóller building.
- Port de Soller - The Port of Sóller is a stunning natural harbor located in the island’s northwest, serving as a significant tourist attraction. Once a coveted treasure by ancient privateers, it offers a unique landscape where the scent of orange blossom mingles with the sea breeze. The port and the town of Sóller are linked by an old wooden tram that retains its original aesthetics and decoration, which can be admired while strolling along the bustling promenade of the port.
- El Tren de Soller - On October 4, 1913, Mallorca’s first electric tram line was inaugurated, connecting Sóller and Puerto de Sóller. The tram’s construction followed the opening of the Palma-Sóller railway line. The project was designed and overseen by Pedro Garau, with 4,868 meters of track laid, featuring the notable iron bridge over the Torrent Major. Initially, the tram had a power plant at the Sóller station, powered by a 65-horsepower explosion engine working with a Siemens-Schuckert dynamo, delivering a direct current of 600 volts. Although primarily intended for passenger transport, the Sóller tram also carried goods to the port.
