Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly, and explained the history of every temple in a simple and interesting way. If you want a real Egyptologist, look no further. - Our 3 days short trip to Luxor was arranged fully with Oceanus including airport transfer. We have 2 days private tour at Luxor and 3rd day to Denedara temple and Luxor souks. Likes 1. We had a very morning flight from Cairo. So after picking us straight from the airport, we visited Luxor temple. Checked in hotel at 12noon. Able to get some lunch, rest before visiting Luxor Temple at 4pm. The car used for airport transfer is clean, nice and spacious. Unlike most dented cars we seen in Cairo and Luxor. Like the flexibility to rest after morning flight. 2. We liked that Mr Ashraf is very knowledgeable and actually we enjoyed Denedara temple with him as he explained to us the meaning of the carving on the bridling. But initially, it was abit overwhelming as he was eager to share everything from ancient Egypt (all the dynasty) to new Egypt. We find ourselves standing in one spot for 20-30min just listening to him, walk for 5-10min and stand to listen again for another 20min. I think it would have been better if we focus on the sites and their history so we can relate better and will be more engaging. 3. The benefit of having a guide is we will not get hassle by sellers. But actually my best purchases are from those seller. The guide initially refused to let us buy anything from random sellers, stating we should shop at recommended factory shop for authenticity and guarantee. After we shop at the factory, he was more relax abit. 4. In conclusion, Mr Ashraf is very knowledgeable and much much better than the guide I have in Cairo. He is able to answer any questions we have and I think we enjoy the historical sites more because he is so knowledgeable which makes it very interesting. Oceanus is very reliable.
