Fantastic trip - We had a fantastic cooking class with Paola and her family. From Palermo, we took the train to Roccapalumba-Alia, where Paola was already waiting to pick us up. We received a warm welcome at their beautiful estate and started the day with a delicious breakfast. They even took care to accommodate a gluten allergy. After breakfast, we went to work in a stunning historic kitchen, where we learned to make several types of pasta, including ravioli, tagliatelle, and cannoli. Everything was perfectly organized. Paola is an excellent instructor—she gives very clear explanations, shares fun and interesting details along the way, and has a lot of patience. She is very hygienic, and the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. Since it was just the two of us, it felt almost like a private cooking class. Paola really takes her time with you. For lunch, we enjoyed some delicious bruschetta with a fresh tomato salsa that was absolutely divine, accompanied by a glass of wine. After preparing all the pasta, we took a short break and had the chance to relax by the pool at the historic farmhouse. Paola also shared stories about the history of the place, the wines, her grandparents, brothers, and parents—who we also had the pleasure of meeting. At the end of the day, we returned to the kitchen to cook our pasta dishes and prepare the cannoli. We then sat down to enjoy a wonderful multi-course dinner, made entirely by ourselves, with Paola’s guidance. We were even able to take everything home with us. We also took some lovely photos to remember this unforgettable day. It truly was a day we will never forget. We are deeply grateful for the time and effort Paola and her family invested to make this experience so special. At the end of the day, they kindly drove us back to the train station, from where we traveled back to Palermo. Thank you so much, Paola, for this unforgettable experience!

Culinary, intenso - Culinary intenso Juli 2025. Family It was an excellent experience. Me and my brother felt very welcome from the beginning. After a rich breakfast with delicious Italian coffee we started making pasta. There is no price without diligence.. A must in Sicily to understand the cuisine a little better to enjoy.

Authentic and unforgettable experience in the heart of Sicily - We booked this cooking class with a group of friends and children. It turned out to be much, much more than we imagined. Communication with Paola was always simple and effective and the short train ride to the farm gave us the thrill of crossing hidden places in Sicily, with landscapes and colors that we will carry forever in our hearts. Paola picked us up at the station and immediately showed us what the real Sicilian welcome is. Nice, funny and always ready to tell us anecdotes and stories related to the tradition, not only culinary, of this charming farm. The structure is beautiful, run by his family for many years. We prepared different types of fresh pasta and also cannoli (typical Sicilian desserts) that we then ate all together. It was a really fun experience, even for the children, and in those hours spent together with Paola we took a “dip” in the true Sicilian tradition. We must thank Paola and her family for letting us enjoy all the warmth of this beautiful land. Highly recommended.

Not your usual cooking class!! - Looking for an experience outside of Palermo this farm house cooking class instantly grabbed my attention. A scenic train ride, accompanied by Paola, was already a huge plus, but when my daughter & I entered the grounds of this villa we knew we were in for a huge treat. This venue is MORE than a farm house, its large kitchen is well equipped & I loved that Paola shared her Grandmother’s recipes & techniques to make 4 different styles of pasta from scratch, as well as sauces, & cannoli. Everything was mouth-wateringly delicious, & btw more food than we could consume 😂 We were even treated to a refreshing beverage in the courtyard before we departed. Truly a magical day, full of gratitude, because it was beyond my expectations!! If you’re looking for something different then this excursion will deliver. I’m so grateful to Paola & her family for being so gracious & wonderful host! Grazie mille 🙏🏽
