Fontana della Vergogna (Fontana Pretoria) - It is one of the symbols of the Sicilian capital, considered one of the most beautiful Italian fountains. It is made up of 48 statues of white Carrara marble, sculpted in full Renaissance by Tuscan sculptors. Purchased in 1573 by the Palermitan Senate it will be nicknamed by the Palermitans, since then, the Fountain of Shame, for a series of numerous reasons that will be told during the tour.

Quattro Canti - I Quattro Canti, piazza Villena, (also called Ottagono del Sole, or Teatro del Sole) is the name of an extraordinary and scenic octagonal square built in the early 1600s at the intersection of the two main roads of Palermo: via Maqueda and the Cassaro, (today Via Vittorio Emanuele) at about half of their length. It is the center of the ancient city.

Il tour inizia dalla Cattedrale di Palermo, in stile arabo-normanno, sito UNESCO. Proseguiremo poi verso il Teatro Massimo, tra storia, suggestivi misteri e leggende popolari.
Visiteremo altri luoghi simbolici della città, come l’elegante piazza barocca dei Quattro Canti e la maestosa Fontana Pretoria. Lungo il percorso, la tua guida ti racconterà miti e tradizioni della Sicilia: dalla misteriosa setta dei Beati Paoli all’incredibile storia di Santa Rosalia.
Infine, entreremo tra le bancarelle del Mercato del Capo, dove potremo fare una breve sosta per assaporare alcune delle specialità dello street food palermitano, tra le più deliziose al mondo.
