Book this lovely time with Nonna! - BOOOK! This was such an amazing experience with lovely Nonna! Francesco was so gracious to pick us up and engaged with us ever so kindly. He translated for Nonna the entire time and ensured we all participated and had a great time. We learned great new recipes from hardworking Nonna and created memories that will last a lifetime. The house you cook in is also gorgeous and you get to enjoy your hard work on the terrace—talk about a meal with a view! We loved this so much.

11/10 Experience - Such an amazing experience! We got to go and get a taste of family by cooking with a Nonna. The vibes were great and our host did an outstanding job making it welcoming and involved while also being very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a genuine experience in Sicily ❤️

A wonderful experience — definitely worth it in every way. - The cooking class with Nonna Mariella was absolutely wonderful. She introduced us to several traditional Sicilian dishes, and cooking together was a lot of fun. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. Francesco translated everything for us and was very kind and helpful throughout the experience. We were also picked up in Palermo and, after the class, driven to the beach in Mondello. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this cooking class to everyone. We would definitely do it again.

Best family-style Sicilian cooking class with Nonna! - Cooking with Nonna Mariella was definitely my favorite part of Palermo! Francesco welcomed us in and made us feel like family while we learned from Nonna Mariella’s years of experience in the kitchen. The food was incredible and they are able to tailor to dietary restrictions (like vegan) while still eating authentic homemade Sicilian food. I would highly recommend this experience for all foodies, travelers, and anyone who’s curious about learning more about Sicilian cuisine. Thank you again Francesco and Nonna Mariella!

Awesome!! - I had an exceptional time with Francesco and Mariella, and I will remember this experience for the rest of my life! They showed great flexibility by adapting the menu to my dietary restrictions (vegetarian). All the dishes were very good and typical of the region; I am leaving with recipes that I will recreate at home! Francesco and Mariella are lovely, helpful, patient, and they taught me a lot about Sicily, whether it be about the food, culture, history, or language. The next time I come to Palermo, I will return!

A dip in the heart of Sicily between authentic flavors and human warmth 🍋 - If you are looking for an experience that goes beyond simple tasting, this is the place. We spent an unforgettable day, and it is rare to find such a perfect mix of professionalism and family welcome.
The heart of the experience was the legendary Marina. Cooking with her was not just a cooking lesson, but a story of traditions handed down with love. Under his expert guidance we prepared an exquisite pasta with anciova, delicious meatballs and, to top it off, the typical balls of almond paste. We then enjoyed everything together in a lovely terrace, immersed in a magical and convivial atmosphere.
Special praise goes to Francis, the organizer. He is a rare boy: sensitive, smart and with brilliant vision. You can see that he puts his soul into what he does and has great ideas for the future; I wish him heartily that all his projects can be realized, because the territory needs people with his energy and his attention to detail.
Go there with friends: you will come out with a full stomach, a light heart and the feeling of having lived the true essence of Sicily. Highly recommended! ✨

How to feel at home, an unforgettable day between cuisine, tradition and love of Palermo - A simply wonderful experience, which we will carry in our hearts forever.
Cooking with a grandmother from Palermo was not just learning recipes, but living a real day, made of love, tradition, smiles and sharing.
The reception was super excellent, we felt at home from the first moment. Grandma greeted us with an incredible sweetness and gave us many tips and culinary secrets that will really be a turning point for our future cuisine!
More than just an experience, it was a preparation and lunch full of emotions, exchange of ideas and authenticity.
Francesco, the interpreter, did not have to translate anything that day because we are Italian, but his initiative in creating and sharing such a special day with his grandmother is something fantastic. You can feel all the passion he puts into what he does.
I really recommend it to everyone, Italians and foreigners. Because the real strength of this experience is to feel at home, even when cultures and habits may be different. Francesco and his grandmother will always welcome you from the heart and make you experience something unique.

A real Sicilian Sunday - If you are looking for the definition of "Italian Sunday", we found it among the scents of the cuisine of a real Sicilian grandmother and the attention of an exceptional guide: Francis. It was not a simple masterclass, but a journey into the Palermo tradition, an authentic experience of the Italian Sunday lunch, from the smell of sauté at 10:00 in the morning to the post-prandial bibble.
The real secret ingredient was her: Marina, with the patience of those who have fed generations and that pinch of rigor necessary not to miss the "measure", has opened the doors of its know-how. Watching her move her hands between flour and seasonings was a privilege: she does not follow written recipes, but follows the heart and experience.
Together with my friends, we got our hands dirty to create a classic of Palermo cuisine: Anciova.
Cooking in a group, between a laugh and an anecdote about the Palermo of the past, has transformed preparation into a moment of pure sharing. There is no greater satisfaction than sitting at the table and enjoying what you have created following the advice of those who have Sicilian cuisine in their DNA.
An experience that has enriched body and soul. If you want to know the true Sicilian cuisine, forget the tourist restaurants and get your hands dirty in a kitchen where a grandmother reigns, you will take home the memory of a unique experience and the experience of an authentic and genuine taste, like our land: our beloved Sicily.

Lovely and authentic cooking class - We had a lovely experience with Francesco and Nonna Mariella. We were their first guest and everything was prepared with lots of love in a beautiful location in Mondello. They even prepared aprons with our names. We were a group of 4 in total and I think it was the best possible group size. Francesco and Mariella were both very knowledgeable and passionate. It was fun to prepare the food and eat together. I would totally recommend this activity!
