Worth it! - This was a long, but easy tour day. Not too many steps needed. We had a great day with our driver Angelo. Started out with a fantastic visit of Erice. Beautiful views, quaint town. Nice shopping. Angelo treated us to a marzipan treat and pastry. ( pastry was fantastico) then off to the farm, where we had an olive oil tasting and wonderfully delicious meal. I am vegetarian and this was accommodated beautifully. In fact, I shared some of my special dish and the table loved it so much, the brought out another plate for them. Olives were delicious, food and people fabulous! Can’t say enough about this wonderful farm. Then off to a Marsala winery. Andrea, gave a very informative tour of the winery, history and processes. I am not a wine drinker but really enjoyed this experience. Tasted Marsala wines, with perfect pairings of various snacks. Fantastic experience. Last stop was a quick visit to a salt plane. No tour here, just walked around for a quick visit, which was ok we were all tired at this point.

Great Day...so enjoyable! Top notch from start to finish!! - Wow, what a nice day! Such a great experience to visit Erice and leave the driving to someone else. We were picked up at appointed spot and driven to Erice. Even though it was out of season and only a few stores were open, we enjoyed exploring the quaint town and had plenty of time to do so. Luckily the day was clear enough for us to see some amazing views! Afterwards we visited the Salt mines and given a thorough explanation of the history, process, and surrounding islands. This was followed by lunch that was a full plate of delicious appetizers, wine, and then a typical pasta dish and dessert. We were so full but not finished yet! Our last stop was a winery/tasting that was not to be missed. We received an informative tour from Andrea and then wine tasting with paired snacks. For the entire trip we had the pleasure of having Francesco as our guide. I can't say enough good things about him. He was extremely accommodating and so kind as we peppered him with way too many questions on the Italian/Sicilian language, culture, people. I felt like we were hanging out with our Italian friend for the day!! Thank you Francesco!!

Nice day trip from Palermo - The trip was excellent. We enjoyed the town of Erice and the Marsala wine tasting was great. Unfortunately we did not get to spend any real time at the salt flats and that would have been nice to do but it gives us a reason to do it again. Marco was very knowledgeable and his banter made the drive to by quickly.

Worth the trip - The wine tastings were very informative. Our guide answered all our questions. He was very knowledgeable and explained all the pairing. He even enjoyed some of our humor. Lunch at the olive oil farm was so delicious. Amazing food. Again, our guide, taught us a few worthwhile tips about olive oil. We were there off season. I would have liked to see the presses and the process of their production.

Marsala wines are the new Bourbon - An excellent tour to see different things. The Olive oil was amazing! I loved the Wine tasting and tour so much. I can't wait to drink more marsala wines now that I experienced them.

Enjoyable and full day - A full day with an entertaining and friendly guide. We saw more of the island than we were expecting. The food at lunchtime was also very good. Although foggy at Erice you could tell it was in a beautiful location. We all enjoyed our day.

Cantina Donna Franca visit with Paola experiencing the divine 3 course lunch Donna Franca’s chef prepared was of course - Experience of viewing the agricultural landscape outside of Palermo on the drive to Marsala was a highlight for me. Other highlights included Walking through historic Marsala, visiting the fish market, sampling salami thanks to our local personal driver Francesco, visiting a salt lagoon, tasting flavored salts & especially touring Cantina Donna Franca with owner Paola & experiencing the divine 3 course lunch Donna Franca’s chef prepared was of course a perfect pairing with 3 of their wines. My only disappointment is we were in Marsala & did not get to sample Marsala wines. I would have paid extra for an educational small sample tasting opportunity of dry to sweet Marsala.

No salt or olive oil! - Our driver was fabulous so no complaints there. But there was no olive oil tasting and there was also no tour/opportunity to tour the salt area in Trapani (that was due to school children inundating the salt area). Our guide/driver, Marco, suggested another activity which was great (an archaeological island with ancient artifacts), but we were hoping to learn about the special salt in Trapani. Segesta was spectacular and the wine tasting thorough, and lunch tasty. But as we didn't do about half what what we paid for, we can't give this tour more than 3 stars.

No salt or olive oil! - While we LOVED Marco (our driver and guide) we were unable to experience the salt portion due to school children inundating the place. Marco was able to suggest a visit to a nearby island with some ancient relics which was interesting, but it was not a visit to the salt flats that we had wanted. Additionally, there was zero olive oil on this tour. The Marsala wine tour was quite long and detailed, and the lunch there was very good, but we were very much looking forward to the olive oil tasting/tour. The visit to Segesta was wonderful. Marco was excellent, and everything in his control was great. He gets a 5* rating, but we did not experience about half of what we expected and paid for.
