Private tour turned into bad school trip - This was by all means a pretty bad tour. We booked a private tour on the first of January 2026, weeks in advance. The 31st of December (the day before) we get a frantic call and messages asking where we were. I told them that my tour was for the next day, all they replied was “okay”. I asked them if we would still get our tour for the following day, they said ok. I had a bad feeling at this point, but I couldn’t cancel anymore. The next day, we indeed get picked up at the right spot, but instead of a private tour we found ourselves on an overbooked tour with ten other people. This was their way to “fix” their mistake. They promised a refund which is good, but the group tour itself was awful regardless. The boat was a wobbly piece of wood with an engine, our tour guide did not understand ONE word of English (not even simple questions like “where are we going”) and therefore he did not tell us anything about anything. We were running left and right behind this guy all afternoon, with zero stops to take pictures (we would’ve lost our group), without knowing where exactly we were heading each time. I’m glad that we didn’t need to communicate anything to our guide because if we had an emergency explaining it was simply not possible. I’ve seen other guides throughout this experience from the same company that were much friendlier and that knew English pretty well, so I’m sure others might have had good experiences with them, but ours was just plain awful. So I guess, book at your own risk.
