The Lake Powell Airplane Tour offers a breathtaking start to your day, with flights available from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on both April 19th and 20th. This three-hour airborne excursion provides a bird’s eye view of the stunning landscapes of southeast Utah’s canyonlands and Lake Powell. As you soar above, the vibrant coastlines and the architectural wonder of the Glen Canyon Dam unfold beneath you, offering a visual feast that is both exhilarating and calming.

The highlight of this tour is the magnificent Horseshoe Bend, a dramatic river curve that is perfect for capturing unforgettable images. As you glide over the Rainbow Bridge National Monument, a majestic natural arch held sacred by Native Americans, you’ll feel a deep connection to the land and its history. The tour includes window seats for everyone, ensuring that each passenger has an unobstructed view of the natural wonders below. With live tour narration and complimentary water provided, this experience is designed to be both informative and refreshing.

“To do - We flew over the lake and its surroundings for 30 minutes, very interesting, we can clearly see the lack of water, it’s even worrying.” (Reviewed at: 2023-10-18)

Afternoon Adventures: Rafting Through History

As the day warms up, it’s time to trade the skies for the water with the Glen Canyon Raft Tour. Available on April 20th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, this scenic float and archaeology tour begins with a bus ride from Page to Lee’s Ferry. Once at the launch site, you’ll join your guide on a raft for a three-hour water adventure that takes you through the heart of Glen Canyon.

The journey begins with a visit to Petroglyph Beach, where ancient carvings depicting various symbols and animals are etched into the canyon walls. As you float along the Colorado River, you’ll be surrounded by the soaring cliffs of Horseshoe Bend, a sight that is both awe-inspiring and humbling. The tour concludes with a bus ride back to Page, passing the Vermillion Cliffs, Marble Canyon, and other geologic wonders along the way.

“Easy, fun and absolutely beautiful! - Chris was our boat float tour guide and she was great! Very knowledgeable and you can tell she loves her job. A great trip to see horseshoe bend from a different perspective and the canyon walls majesty!” (Reviewed at: 2025-03-17)
