The Euganean Hills are a series of volcanic hills that rise between 300 to 600 meters from the Padovan-Venetian plain, located a few kilometers south of Venice. With the guidance of a Local Tour Leader, visitors will explore the heart of the Euganean Hills. This journey includes visits to two renowned wineries in the Euganean region, showcasing the area’s finest wine production. The unique volcanic soil and favorable climate support the cultivation of various grape varieties. Among the white wines are the Serprino, a “volcanic” version of Prosecco derived from the Glera vine, as well as Pinot Bianco, Garganega, Chardonnay, and Manzoni. The red wines include Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Carmènere. During the tour, guests will enjoy walks through the vineyards, cellar visits, and multiple wine tastings paired with local delicacies, while listening to the knowledgeable winemakers share stories about their finest wines.
