Amazing little day trip - Super lovely private experience. The two girls who drove us around were lovely and ended up giving us lots of advice and things to do in Barcelona. Horseback riding around the vineyards was a great start to The wine tasting that was at an absolutely amazing venue with a great tour guide.

Disappointing experience on horseback riding trip to Penedès – unfortunately not as booked - We had booked a private horseback riding trip with picnic in the Penedès region at “Wine Stories Barcelona” – expressly private and paid extra for it. It was all the more disappointing to learn on arrival that a foreign participant should also ride. That wasn't the deal. Our contact Claudia mistakenly thought he belonged to our group – which was clearly not the case. It was a pity because the trip took place on my birthday and the private atmosphere was important to us. The photos we received later were correspondingly disappointing: The foreign participant can be seen in all pictures, which makes them completely unusable for us. In addition, only a few photos were taken – hectic when riding in on the way back. The tour was scenic, but part of the route runs along a busy road. There, one of the horses shied away when a truck passed – a dangerous situation for which one was not prepared. The riding instructor barely spoke English and gave virtually no instructions. This is definitely not suitable for beginners. In addition, we were accompanied the whole time by a free-roaming dog, which constantly ran around under the horses – also not exactly safety-promoting. The supposed picnic was the next low point. We expected a lovingly arranged picnic, as shown on the homepage. Instead, there were old nacho chips, rancid salami, overripe unwashed grapes and warmed cheese. For 100 € (for 4 people) absolutely disappointing. In addition, there was a bottle of sparkling wine (which could also have been dispensed with), but no soft drinks, no water with carbonated water – simply nothing you would expect on a summer trip. That was neither tasteful nor thoughtful. After our complaint we received compensation of 40 €, but with a total price of around 600 € for 4 people, this is in our view nothing more than a symbolic plaster of consolation. In the end, we were also quickly “handled” as the pre-ordered taxi was already waiting – including the taximeter running, which created additional pressure. Conclusion: The professionally designed homepage raises high expectations, which unfortunately the actual experience has not fulfilled in any way. We would not choose this provider again and unfortunately cannot recommend it – as we have experienced it.

Not as advertised. Would not recommend. - Wine Stories is simply a digital agency. They have no part of your tour or experience. Our day did not look like any of the pictures on website. We arrived at stables after telling Wine Stories 3x that we were experienced riders and yet none of this was conveyed to guide. Guide? Well we did not have a guide. A teenage boy toured us for 45 minutes through the service roads of a vineyard. There was no guiding, no experience. We were then taken to Torres for a lunch and winetasting. This was inside a crowded restaurant with other tourists and not as all as advertised on site. The Torres staff had no idea what was going on, and repeatedly tried to bill us even though the tour was all paid in advance. Realistically, I could have rented a cab, gone to the stable and ridden and gone for lunch myself. The cost me +$1000 Cdn for a couple and it was WAY OVERPRICED for what it was. And it WAS NOT what was advertised in description nor pictures. When contacted after the tour, Wine Stories ghosted me on WhatsApp.
