It is organized into fifteen sections, including vegetable plots, berries, bees, native plants, ducks, chickens, and a prickly pear maze. Water is channeled into the garden from a stream using gravity, a method practiced for 300 years.
- La Motte Wine Estate - La Motte’s newly redesigned and refurbished tasting facility, featuring a large fireplace for cozy winter tastings, is praised for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors can sample and purchase a wide range of La Motte’s award-winning wines in a stylish and relaxing setting. Seated at handcrafted tasting tables, a welcoming tasting counter, or on comfortable sofas, guests enjoy unobstructed views of the working and maturation cellars through large glass panels. Tastings are enhanced by original artworks from renowned South African artist Jacob Hendrik Pierneef, after whom La Motte’s Pierneef Collection of premium wines is named.
