As a seasoned surfer, I’ve spent countless hours riding the waves and exploring the hidden gems of Central America’s coastlines. And when we reached a secluded island, away from the crowds, the opportunity to swim and play games with the crew was a delightful bonus.

While the visit felt a bit rushed, with just enough time for a few photos, the real magic awaited us later that evening. After a delicious Thai buffet dinner, we were treated to a spectacle that words can hardly describe.

The crew took us near the rocks to witness the glowing plankton, a phenomenon that felt like something out of a dream. As we paddled through the water, the bioluminescent plankton lit up with every stroke, creating a surreal, otherworldly glow. It was a moment that couldn’t be captured on camera, but one that will remain etched in my memory forever.
