Great guide - Rebecca was terrific, a combination of student, historian, and cultural maven. We very much enjoyed her tour and company.

Worth the time - Shout out to ELENA, my tour guide who was so compelling that I had to join just from overhearing her as a passer-by. She was a wonderfully knowledgeable and engaging speaker. One of the highlights of my Oxford trip!

Great tour with Sam Day - Great tour with Sam Day. Ask for Sam Day. He was nice, funny, and was able to keep the whole family engaged ages 7-50 with wit, jokes (that mostly landed :), and fascinating history. Next time we are in Oxford we will defiantly ask for Sam Day.

A Great Tour of Oxford - Having just finished our tour of Oxford I enthusiastically recommend Footprints Tours! Our guide, Sam provided the most informative and delightful experience. I told my husband that following an online self guided tour was all we needed to see Oxford. I’m so glad we instead decided to do the private tour with Footprints. Having an actual Oxford student as your guide, like Sam, is definitely the way to go. Only an actual student or alumnus could have the perspective and stories to paint the picture of what Oxford University and the town is all about. Honestly, Sam was the best! We want to bring our son next time we are in England, and we will request Sam for sure. My husband and I learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed it all.

Our tour guide Will was absolutely wonderful!rful - My husband and I did the extended Oxford tour with tour guide Will on March 11, 2026. Truly one of the highlights of our 5 days in Oxford. Will was knowledgeable and fun. He took into consideration things the group was interested in and made the tour thoroughly enjoyable. Could not recommend this tour (and tour guide!) enough!

Oxford Walking Tour - Sam was a fantastic raconteur! He made the University come alive. He seamlessly blended historic facts & anecdotes with current. In addition to being a doubt of information he had a great sense of humour. Highly recommend him as a guide!

Outstanding tour guide - Our guide on this tour (12 Feb 2026) was "Fay". We departed exactly on time (11:00 a.m.) in light drizzle which continued intermittently throughout the tour. Fay established early on that she is deeply knowledgeable of the history of Oxford and of the individual colleges, churches and libraries as well as the overall Oxford University culture. Her delivery was confident and engaging. I could have easily continued for another couple of hours.
