An Experience That Exceeded Every Expectation! - Marine Dynamics delivered so much more than a shark cage diving experience—they delivered world-class hospitality. From the moment we arrived and saw our names on the welcome board, we felt genuinely welcomed and valued. It was such a thoughtful touch that immediately made us feel like VIP guests. Meeting Claudia and Aletta were a pleasure, and it was clear from the start that the passion for guest experience and marine conservation runs throughout the entire team. Carmen, our driver, was fantastic, and Thomas was exceptional on the boat, constantly checking in on everyone and even giving us the opportunity to enter the cage twice, which made the experience even more memorable. The wildlife encounters were absolutely incredible! We were fortunate enough to see numerous **Bronze Whaler sharks**, and they kept coming back to the cage, giving us amazing viewing opportunities throughout the trip. One curious little Bronze Whaler was particularly entertaining—it actually swam right into the cage, and we had to gently push him back out, which gave everyone a good laugh! We were also lucky enough to spot stingrays and playful Cape fur seals, making the entire experience even more magical. A special thank you to the wonderful volunteers who looked after me when I started feeling seasick. Their kindness, compassion, and attentiveness made such a difference, and I couldn't be more grateful. Also, a huge shoutout to the cameraman and official hype man—his energy and enthusiasm kept everyone smiling and added so much fun to the day! The educational aspect was equally impressive. Learning about the sharks, African penguins, and the incredible conservation work Marine Dynamics does was fascinating. Every team member was knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely excited to share their expertise. Great wildlife experience! - The activity was well-planned, communication beforehand was timely and clear. Adam (driver) picked us up at our hotel on time and brought us to the dive house. Amy (primary guide) gave clear guidance on what to expect over breakfast. The activity itself was organized and we felt safe the whole time; the group saw a nice mix of giant black stingrays, bronze whaler sharks, and cape seals. After heading back to shore, we had a light lunch, then Adam took us to the Penguin Center, then back to Cape Town.

Totally recommend this - Whole experience was faultless. Picked up promptly at my hotel in a clean and comfortable van. Stopped on the way to the dive location for a toilet and coffee break. Met a Marine Dynamics by a good breakfast. Quick safety briefing and then out in the boat. On 30mins to dive site we saw a sunfish and a quick glimmer of a whale. Saw a total of 7 sharks and a friendly seal. Good wetsuits and equipment .Great view of the sharks from the boat but the visibility in the water wasn’t very good, but at least I can say I swam with sharks. Hot chocolate to warm up after. Returned to soup and rolls for lunch before the drive back to Cape Town. Marine Dynamics is a professionally run organisation and I would recommend this to anyone.

A trip that won’t be forgotten! - Absolutely worth it. We were hesitant to book this trip due to the decline in great white sightings, but we ended up being thrilled by the incredible views of bronze whaler sharks and rays. What really stood out was the company’s genuine passion and dedication to shark and wildlife conservation. The crew were friendly, entertaining and highly organised, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. Our driver was punctual and the journey was safe and comfortable. The crew made us feel safe and confident, explaining everything clearly before we got into the water. Seeing the sharks up close was absolutely breathtaking and thrilling at the same time. The team was knowledgeable and passionate, sharing interesting facts about the sharks which made the experience even more meaningful. The equipment was in great condition, and safety was clearly a top priority throughout. Even as a first-timer, I felt completely at ease thanks to the guidance and support from the staff. Great Experience, But Not for Seeing Great White Sharks - It’s a really nice experience, and I truly enjoyed it. I also liked that, besides having a good time, you’re contributing to shark research in the area—that part meant a lot to me. However, personally, I booked this experience because both my travel agency and the website mentioned that it was to see great white sharks. As they explain once you arrive, since around 2017 two orcas have been preying on them, so it’s now very, very unlikely to see a great white. That was disappointing for me. If you’re looking for an experience to see other types of sharks or marine life, it’s definitely fun and worthwhile. But if your main goal is specifically to see a great white shark, I wouldn’t recommend it. That said, the crew is very friendly, and you’ll still have a great time overall.
