• Molas Pass - Molas Pass rises an impressive 10,910 feet above sea level, making it one of the highway’s two highest mountain passes. • Ironton - Along your journey, you’ll encounter the remnants of Ironton. Once a thriving mining town, built largely around iron ore extraction, Ironton is now one of many ghost towns left behind after mining operations in these mountains ceased. The last Ironton resident passed away in 1960.
• Bear Creek Falls - Bear Creek Falls is a stunning, 200-foot cascading waterfall that is a must-see along your route. If you visit in the fall, the autumn foliage enhances this already impressive attraction.
