- The Cango Caves - Depart Cape Town at 6am and journey to Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo semi-desert region, renowned as the ostrich capital of the world. This drive takes you along the famous Route 62, the longest wine route globally! Enjoy a tour of the magnificent Cango Caves and visit an ostrich farm for an up-close encounter with these impressive birds. Tonight, stay in Oudtshoorn and savor a delicious ostrich dinner. (Dinner)
- Garden Route - Departing Oudtshoorn, cross the mountain range to the coast and the stunning Garden Route. The first stop is the scenic ‘map of Africa’ viewpoint in the Wilderness, followed by a visit to Knysna, consistently voted South Africa’s favorite town. Explore the Knysna Heads, Waterfront, and markets thoroughly. After Knysna, travel through Plettenberg Bay and spend the night in Storms River Village.
- Bloukrans Bridge - This morning, explore the magnificent Tsitsikamma National Park, featuring thundering waves, dense forests, abundant birdlife, and otters. Walk the coastal path to the hanging bridge over Storms River Mouth and discover why this is South Africa’s most scenic park.
From the Eastern Cape, return to the Garden Route and visit the world’s highest Bungy Bridge at Bloukrans, offering plenty of time for thrill-seekers to jump. This 216-meter high bungy is a marvel, even for those with a fear of heights! The journey continues to the Garden Route Game Lodge, where you’ll stay overnight in luxurious accommodations. Enjoy a late afternoon safari drive with opportunities to see rhinos, lions, buffalo, cheetahs, and various antelope species. A sumptuous and diverse buffet dinner at the lodge is another highlight! - Hermanus - Begin the day with a morning safari drive to spot animals missed the previous evening. Then, head to Hermanus, the world’s best land-based whale watching site (June-December). The Southern Right whales are making a remarkable recovery after nearly facing extinction 50 years ago. Return to Cape Town in the late afternoon via the breathtaking False Bay coastline, where you might be greeted by dolphins. (Breakfast)

BokBus 4 day Garden Route February 2026 - Vaughan was THE BEST guide ever for our trip! We don't usually take guided trips but we were so pleased that we had this time. We saw everything we wanted, laughed and learned loads. Vaughan was the perfect host and made our holiday really memorable. It felt like leaving an old friend behind when we were dropped off at the airport. Thank you Vaughan x

Great Experience, Great Guide - This tour was a great way to get a taste of the garden route! Our guide, Dylan, was highly informative, attentive and entertaining! Dylan ensured everyone was comfortable, had a good time and got the most out of this trip. The itinerary was very well planned, just enough to keep the days busy and diverse without feeling rushed. The accommodations, breakfasts and dinners were great and the safari game drives were a special experience. I would highly recommend anyone short on time to do this tour!

Wonderful trip with wonderful guide - We had a fantastic 4 day Garden Route trip with Mawande, our excellent driver guide. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and we learnt so much about South Africa. He made our trip truly unforgettable! The scenery is very beautiful with vineyards, mountains and coastal views. The highlight of the trip was the Garden Route Game lodge and safari. I would highly recommend this trip and definitely ask for Mawande. He was truly amazing.

Fantastic 4 day tour - Mawande is magnificent! - Mawande - what a fantastic, incredible, gifted tour guide. He is legendary - an absolute first class man: professional, punctual and personable! He honestly made this trip the highlight of our stay in South Africa. He was across all the details, full of knowledge about the route and all the destinations and a great driver too!
The 4 day tour was amazing- we loved Tsitikamma and the Game lodge. The accommodation was really good and each stop offered a different perspective on this multi-faceted country. From ostrich farms, suspension bridges, African penguins to the Big 5 - we covered it all!
But honestly, if you’re doing this tour - you need to ask for Mawande as he is an exceptional tour guide and I can’t imagine doing this trip without him.

Overall excellent well balanced experience - Frank was an outstanding guide, very Knowledgeable and made our tour extra special.
The two hotels and the safari lodge we stayed at were very comfortable and friendly.
We appreciated the little extra touches the Garden Route Safari Lodge provided ie a stop for drinks in the evening safari and toasted marshmallows after we came back from the evening safari. With the morning safari we welcomed the hot water bottles and kagools to keep us warm!

This 4 day Garden Route was an amazing experience. experience. - The thing that made our tour special was our guide, Mawande. He was organized, helpful, and very knowledgeable. He gave us insights into South Africans beautiful scenery, politics, history and geography. Mawande was a fantastic host and guide. We recommend Bokbus if you are looking for a good value tour that has adventure experiences, safaris, animal encounters nature and coastal scenery and walks.

So much to see, and we saw SO much! - we had a great trip with our guide Mawande. the attractions were simply wonderful, we were able to spend enough time at each sight - but not too much time to get bored - and Mawande explained many interesting facts about the regions we visited. The Game Reserve was fantastic - could have stayed there a full week! We had a great time...
