Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Dades Gorge

Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Dades Gorge
Tizi n Tichka - After breakfast, the driver will meet the group and accompany them throughout the tour. The journey continues through the Tizi n’Tichka pass, a renowned mountain pass in the High Atlas. This pass links Marrakech and Ouarzazate and is one of Morocco’s most stunning and winding roads. Situated at over 2,260 meters, it provides breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. The tour will then proceed to the Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where there will be free time for sightseeing and photography, with a local guide available as an option.
Ait Ben Haddou - After exploring the kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, there will be a lunch break before heading to the Ouarzazate film studios, known for their international film sets. The night will be spent in Ouarzazate at a selected inn.
Gorges du Dadès - Merzouga
Ouarzazate - The second day begins with a delightful breakfast at the inn or riad, followed by a journey to Merzouga, with visits to both Dades Gorge and Todgha.
Dades Gorges - Before reaching Merzouga, the tour will explore the Dades and Todgha gorges.
Merzouga - After visiting the two gorges, the journey continues to Erfoud, famous for its fossils, where a fossil cooperative can be visited. Arrival in Merzouga is in the afternoon, where a vehicle change to a camel ride will take place to reach the camp in the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Enjoy the sunset over the dunes, followed by a traditional Berber dinner under the stars. Overnight stay will be in a Berber camp in a traditional nomadic tent or a luxury bivouac, depending on preferences.
Merzouga City Tour
Merzouga - After a wonderful night in the desert, an early rise is necessary to witness the sunrise before traveling to the town of Midelt, through the Middle Atlas, with a lunch break and a stop to share pictures with the monkeys, passing through the charming town of Ifrane, and finally reaching the destination, Fez.
Merzouga -> Midelt -> Fez
Midelt - After the stay in the Merzouga desert, the road leads directly to Fez, bypassing Midelt. Departure from Merzouga is in the morning, crossing the desert landscapes and palm groves of the Tafilalet region. A stop in Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet, is included to explore its local market (depending on the day). The journey continues through Erfoud and the landscapes of the Ziz plateau, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains and Cedar Forests, with a visit to the monkeys in Ifrane. Discover Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” before arriving in Fez by late afternoon or evening.
Fez —> City Tour to Fez
Fez - Explore Fez, the oldest imperial city in Morocco, on a comprehensive city tour that delves into Moroccan history, culture, and crafts. Visit the Medina of Fez el-Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover the narrow streets, fountains, and traditional souks. Stops include Medras (historic Koranic schools) and mosques (exterior view for non-Muslims), as well as the famous tanneries of Fez, known for their colorful vats. Discover local crafts such as ceramics, leather, wood, and textiles before returning to the accommodation.
Fez —> Chefchaouen
Chefchaouen - Enjoy a scenic and cultural journey from Fez to Chefchaouen, passing through the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Departure is in the morning with a pick-up from the hotel or riad in Fez. The drive leads to Volubilis, where the Roman ruins (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) can be explored, including well-preserved mosaics, arches, and ancient streets. An optional stop at Moulay Idriss Zerhoun offers a panoramic view. The journey continues north through the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen. Upon arrival in the famous Blue City, there is free time to walk through the blue-painted medina, visit Uta el-Hammam Square, and enjoy time for photos and relaxation.
Chefchaouen —> Rabat
Rabat - After breakfast at the inn, check-out is followed by a journey to Rabat to explore the main sights of the capital, including the Tour Hassan, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. There is free time for lunch, with an overnight stay in Rabat.
Rabat —> Casablanca
Casablanca - After breakfast at the inn, check-out leads to Casablanca to discover the Hassan II Mosque (outdoor or indoor), Corniche Aïn Diab, and Mohammed V Square. There is free time and a transfer to the inn or airport, marking the end of the tour.
