Day 1: Journey from Marrakech to Dades Valley

Tizi n Tichka - The tour kicks off early in the morning with a pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech. The journey takes you along the winding roads of the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering stunning panoramic views as you head towards the magnificent Atlas Mountains. Along the route, there will be stops at genuine Berber communities, providing opportunities to take photos and learn about their lifestyle.

Ait Ben Haddou - The next stop is the renowned Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its ancient Kasbah, which has served as a backdrop for numerous well-known films.

Ouarzazate - Following a guided tour, the journey continues to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” home to the largest film studio in the world by area. Here, you’ll enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of famous movie sets used in productions like Gladiator and Game of Thrones, and visit the impressive Kasbah Taourirt. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert

Dades Gorges - After breakfast, the tour proceeds to the Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most breathtaking canyon landscapes, where you can enjoy a short walk along the towering rock walls.

Merzouga - The journey continues through palm groves and desert towns until reaching the gateway to the Sahara: Merzouga. Here, you’ll meet your guide and embark on a camel ride across the golden dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert as the sun sets, creating a magical atmosphere. After about an hour of camel trekking, you’ll arrive at a traditional desert camp. Enjoy a night under the stars in a comfortable Berber tent, with a delicious dinner and live Berber music by the campfire.

Merzouga - High Atlas - Marrakech

Kalaat M’Gouna - An early morning wake-up call allows you to witness the sunrise over the dunes, followed by a camel ride back to Merzouga. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, the journey back to Marrakech begins, passing through various areas and Berber villages until reaching Ouarzazate. The return to Marrakech follows the same route, concluding the 3-day shared desert tour from Marrakech in the late afternoon around 7:30 pm, with a drop-off at your hotel or the nearest accessible point to your riad.
