A Memorable Introduction to Ikebana - I completed an Ikebana session with my partner in January, taught by instructor Miri Ishihara, and it was an exceptional experience. Her instruction was clear and detailed, supported by deep knowledge of the art. She showed real patience throughout the session and provided thoughtful guidance that strengthened our understanding and appreciation of Ikebana. She also shared generous insights and small gifts that enriched the cultural experience. The session ran for one hour and it was one of the most rewarding hours I have spent learning something new. I strongly recommend this class to anyone interested in Ikebana or traditional Japanese arts.

A 5 star mindful and creative experience in Tokyo - The classes where amazing. It was a wholesome, mindful experience, and it helped me reconnect with my creativity and nature. The teacher, Miri Ishihara, was really sweet: patient, with great insights, and with a general peaceful vibe. It’s a great way to get a break from the hectic Tokyo and experience a different side of it.

Great experience - I knew I have to try ikebana, when in Japan (Lost in translation fan :) ). And I chose very well. Mayumi sensei was patient and helpful. I enjoyed the traditional activity, but explained simply and focused on trying it with our own hands. We even got tea and little snack at the end. Overall it was very pleasant and I would recommend it to anyone interested in japanese culture.

Inspiring First Ikebana Experience - My first ikebana course with Ishihara Miri was a wonderful experience. She took plenty of time to clearly explain the basic principles, and we even created two ikebana arrangements. I really appreciated her teaching style — patient, clear, and very attentive. The space itself was also inspiring and truly enhanced the experience. I would love to take another course with her. Highly recommended!

Ikebana with Ishihara Miri - This was my sister and I's first time experiencing Ikebana with Ishihara Miri. To start the place so beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Having that type of environment gave us the inspiration to be very creative with our flower arrangements. We did a total of 2 flower arrangements; 1 following the shogetsu style rules and 1 freestyle. We had a lot of fun arranging flowers and getting to know Ishihara. She was very sociable, sweet and very generous. She gave us snacks from places she has been to recently, made us matcha, and gave us a parting gift. She was very informative and very helpful throughout the process of our flower arrangement. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting tokyo region! It's a calm and unique activity!

Book this class for an authentic experience! - This was one of the highlights of our whole trip! The instructor is an award-winning ikebana practitioner. She was engaging, informative, and encouraging during our lesson. All materials are provided, as well as hot tea while you listen to her instructions. The lesson was easy for my sister and I to follow, and we had a great time creating our arrangements and chatting with our instructor. The room is very traditional with alcoves for displaying your arrangements and getting some great pictures. It's in a lovely modern building that is part of a Buddhist temple. Don't let the address deter you. It is not in a "touristy" part of town, but it is near a bus line and easy to find.
