- Since The Scream is one of the 10 most famous paintings in the world, we wanted to see it and other Munch artworks. The collection was fascinating, as was the story of Munch himself. A visit to this museum was well worth it and highly recommended for anyone who appreciates famous fine art.

Highly recommended to visit when visiting Oslo. - The museum was nothing short of beautiful and the entrance via Viator tickets was also trouble-free. Highly recommended.

Almost Overwhelming! - There are 12 stories in this museum — it is hard to take it all in. The crowds around the “Scream” painting and drawing were oppressive. Enjoyed the building and the great views from it. Also, good sandwiches at the main floor cafe.

Gladly again but not via tripadvisor - The museum is an absolute must. It's an overwhelming art collection. However, I was quite annoyed in the course of ordering tickets that the tickets were cumbersome initially announced, but could only be downloaded shortly before. tripadvisor could take a look at GetYourGuide to see how it works quickly, easily and safely.

The museum admission... - The museum admission price was much less than the Viator price. The posted price was about $22 and we paid $38.

Not worth the ticket price - Wonderful building in a great location. That's about all I can say that's good about the place. Poorly laid out, hard to follow any logic (If there is any). It felt very much like a curators dream, too clever for it's own good. The "recreation" of Munch's house is just a dismal space with a few bits of furniture set as though in room spaces. There is very little narrative that one can follow and overall as an education into the life and works of Munch I felt it was a failure. Possibly a wonderful experience if you are really really into the history of art or something, I wouldn't know! Compared to other galleries and museums I have visited such as the Met in New York, the Guggenheim Bilbao or the National in London I thought it was awful.

No more booking through Trip Advisor - Ticket was not available for download, no QR code, no admission, had to buy new tickets. Therefore very unhappy with the performance.

Disaster - I never got the tickets and paid Tripadvisor 68 Euros for the 2 tickets of my wife and me. It was my turn in the museum to buy them again and they cost 44 Euros. Do not buy museum tickets in Oslo for any page. One arrives at the museum and right there they sell the tickets more than 10 euros cheaper than any page.
