A must if in Oslo - Located on museum island and there is a regular ferry going back and to, so accessible. So much information and so much to see, I don't know where to start. Information and facts with photos and exhibits everywhere. The boat is amazing and you can go down below deck but the steps are steep. There is a lift to all floors so accessible to a certain degree, you can only go on the deck of the boat. There is cafe and a shop when you exit. We had the Oslo Pass and it gives free admission to this museum.

Not to be missed museum in Oslo - Fascinating museum. The ship, Fram, which carried explorer Roald Amundsen and crew to the South Pole, is there in all its glory. The museum is build in a triangle form so that the top of the mast can be included in the museum. Visitors can walk all over the ship, talking a tour of the deck, crews' quarters, kitchen, boiler room and dining table, all laid out. Photographs and placards describing the expedition, as well as videos, are there too. Free lockers provide a place for coats.

A Must visit - We went to the museum expecting it to be interesting but that was all. We were wrong, one of the best museums i have ever visited. The whole ship was accessible, everything was written in English so we really understood what it was all about. The 4D ride was informative and fun. Highly recommend visiting if you have any interest whatsoever in polar exploration or ships. We had purchased the OSLO pass so transport to them museum and entry was covered by the pass - highly recommend the pass too. Don't forget it is opposite the Kontiki museum so two great trips in one place

You mustn't miss this museum! - Excellent museum - so much info but so well presented, freedom to wander and choose order of visit, novel displays, multisensory. Liked the recognition given to so many contributors to Polar exploration and science. Loved it! One of, if not the best museum ever visited.
