The ponds are nourished by snowmelt from Mount Fuji, which filters through porous lava layers for over 80 years, resulting in exceptionally clear spring water that is highly valued by the locals.
- Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine - Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, also known as Chureito Pagoda (忠霊塔, Chūreitō), is a five-story pagoda situated on a mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City with Mount Fuji in the background. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and was constructed in 1963 as a peace memorial, located nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine’s main buildings.

Japanese extravaganza - caffrey is so nice and took us to McDonald’s and all these other places we wanted to go. He was patient and gave us a good tour of Japan.

The experience was... - The experience was superb. Wendell Hayashi, our driver, photographer and tour guide, was great, couldn't ask for a better person. He took us to Mt Fuji 5th Station, took us to scenic spots and took a lot of great photos of the family with great views of Mt Fuji. Thoroughly enjoyed not just of Mt Fuji but the entire 10 hour trip.

Sunny day trip to Mount Fugi - Tour guide was Asi. Very helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable. Knew how to line up sites to see in the most efficient way in order to optimize the tour. We enjoyed the tour and spending the day with Asi.

Excellent Tour - Caffrey was very knowledgeable, helpful and respectful. He showed us the famous spots along Mt. Fuji and some relatively unknown places where the view of the volcano was magnificent. Thank you, Caffrey.

On a clear day you can see Mt Fuji - We had a very good time with Caffrey, who brought us to his favorite spots to view the majestic Mt Fuji. It helped that it was a particularly clear day and one could see what looked like ice veins (snow, actually) near the top of the volcano. Our guide even took some pictures of us so we could all be in a group shot - and there were six of us. A word to the beginner: consult your guide and take his recommendations on managing your time very seriously to get the most out of the tour. We went on a weekend (the week day tours were fully booked) and got caught in heavy traffic. Good thing Caffrey kept us entertained with his stories. Thank you, Caffrey!

Sunny day at Mt Fuji - Koda showed us everything we wanted to see and had really good reccomendations. Also the lace he showed us was very good and authentic japanese food. It was definitely worth it!
