During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to paint a ceramic dish using Japan-inspired designs with a brush.
Participants can select from traditional designs or images from Japanese culture, such as Mount Fuji, sushi, a sakura tree, and more….

During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to paint a ceramic dish using Japan-inspired designs with a brush.
Participants can select from traditional designs or images from Japanese culture, such as Mount Fuji, sushi, a sakura tree, and more. Additionally, they can write a chosen word in kanji (Japanese characters).
The creations made in the workshop will be sent to the participant’s home after firing (note that shipping costs are not included).
Workshops are conducted in Spanish, Catalan, or English. Unlike other ceramic-related experiences, this is the only one offered in Spanish or Catalan.
The course fee includes a small plate and a chopstick rest, both handmade using traditional Japanese design and materials. Participants can take these items home on the day they visit the studio.
The workshop is held in a century-old house located in the southern part of Osaka. This non-touristy area offers a taste of “real Osaka.” The journey from the station to the workshop reveals a Showa-era Osaka that is not featured in tourist guides.

This is a highly recommended activity for travellers to Japan because they can create their own souvenir of their trip. During the workshop, we will teach how to paint with special ceramic paints, and participants will be able to choose from traditional Japanese designs.
There are also images representing iconic Japanese culture, as well as the possibility to write the person’s name in Japanese alphabet.
As the activity is conducted in English, Spanish or Catalan (unlike other pottery-related workshops that do not offer this option), the traveller will be able to ask questions about the country and receive detailed instructions on how to decorate the pieces.
