Steps of the Experience Course:
- Learn about the history of Japanese calligraphy.
- Understand how to use calligraphy tools.
- Watch a demonstration of calligraphy brush techniques by the host.
- Select your favorite Kanji from a collection of popular samples.
- Begin your calligraphy experience by handling the brush.
- Complete your unique artwork on a special board (242 × 273 mm).
- Finally, place your artwork in a display case as a hanging scroll. It is foldable and easy to carry.
Enjoy admiring your work and capturing the moment with a photo while savoring Japanese green tea and sweets, which are provided to enhance your cultural experience.

With 27 years of expertise as a calligraphy instructor, the operator offers clear and comprehensive guidance. Participants will explore Japanese characters, learn to use calligraphy tools, and master the basics of brush techniques. Students can select one of 16 kanji popular internationally, practice it, and inscribe it on a Japanese board. After signing their name, they can place it in a special art frame, completing their unique masterpiece. This artwork can be taken home for display. To conclude, participants can enjoy green tea and Japanese sweets, and capture the moment with a commemorative photo, creating a lasting memory.
The event takes place on the first floor of a hotel in Shinsaibashi, the heart of Osaka. It is conveniently located just a one-minute walk from the subway station.
