Then, proceed to the vibrant Piazza del Duomo to marvel at one of Italy’s most magnificent medieval architectural masterpieces, the Cathedral of S. Maria Assunta, renowned for its captivating facade. Visit Civita di Bagnoregio, known as the “dying city,” a picturesque village perched on a tuff rock outcrop overlooking the stunning badlands valley. Connected to the outside world by a long, narrow bridge, it features a cluster of medieval homes and a small number of resident families. There will be time for lunch (at your own expense) during the day.
